This is THE BEST glass repair shop in Lakeland! Their friendly, helpful, professional staff saved the day when my sliding glass door inexplicably disintegrated while I was at work—exposing my condo to the great outdoors! It was a mess! They answered my after-hours emergency call and swooped into action immediately. Just a couple short hours later my sliding glass door was fixed, better than new! I tried 2 of the other glass guys in town first—forget about them! I called for replacement of one pane in a double-hung window to be replaced at our office. The guy on the phone (I believe his name was Dakota) was very polite and got things scheduled quickly and efficiently. The tech they sent out, however, was not a great experience. Mickey came into our office - a very small area - and proceeded with the repair. He made no effort to be quiet, throwing glass into his trash bucket which made a lot of noise. He could have set the bucket on the desk closer to him but opted to leave it on the floor so he had to drop it farther, making it crash into the bucket. After he left, the building owner found trash and lots of broken glass left in the grass under that window. There was no attempt at clean-up and left a potentially dangerous situation with the children and dog that are on the property. Their price is very good, but sometimes you get what you pay for. UPDATE: The owner called when I was told they would and was very concerned and apologetic for the situation. They sent someone out this afternoon and got everything looking great. Unfortunate that it happened but they made sure to make it right!
I had a cracked vinyl double-paned glass. The e-film on the window kept the gas from leaking, but I wanted to have the window repaired to avoid the possibility of it breaking through. I contacted Lakeland Glass & Mirror because after looking at the Google reviews, I saw that they were favorable and they were also a family owned small business with years of experience! I called and spoke to Dakota and told him what I had and that if I could save a service call charge, I would bring the window to the shop. He agreed and when I arrived, Dakota greeted me and disassembled the window trim so that he could get the correct glass insert measurements. I asked if they could just replace the broken pane. However, since it was double paned and filled with an inert gas, I would need to pay for both panes of glass. The repair could not be performed at the shop as their vendor has the equipment and sterile environment in which to replace the glass with new panes sealed with argon gas. Unfortunately, this type of repair and gas fill must be in a clean, dust & lint-free atmosphere. I was told it could be two or three weeks before the window was back at their shop and they would call me when it was ready for pick up. I got a call from Dakota less than two weeks later. I was charged a reasonable fee for the new glass unit which included a discount for my military service. A $25 fee was included in the cost of the repair which I felt was more than reasonable since I was avoiding about a $125 service call fee which would include measuring the window at my home and having them come back out and install the new window pane unit when complete! Dakota installed the new glass section into my frame while I waited and I was headed home within an hour! I was told when they ordered the new panes that the e-film may be a slightly different tint than my current film. They showed me a sample of the e-film on a sample window glass and the change was barely perceptible! I spoke with the owner and one of the other family members while Dakota installed the new window. They were friendly, professional and very accommodating! I would highly recommend Lakeland Glass & Mirror for your glass and mirror repairs or purchase.
Window World referred because they couldn’t replace the glass in our door. The Staff was very professional and helpful. I was given options and pricing better than anywhere in the Orlando Tampa areas! They also installed quicker than anticipated! Very happy!
