We just replaced 19 Windows in our home. The Marvin windows that Buddy recommended are fantastic. Buddy did a great job explaining the window efficiencies and how they would look once they were installed. Jeff and Cody did an outstanding job installing the windows and worked with us on scheduling the installation. Everything went smoothly and the installers cleaned up everything. I would highly recommend Colorado Rockies Windows and Doors!

My name is Don Paschal.

I am a retired City Manager from McKinney, TX and still do some consulting for several cities. Our family purchased a nice Condo in a good somewhat secluded area near Keystone about 6 miles from the Dillon / Silverthorne area. Since purchasing the condo we have remodeled about 80% of it and will be replacing all the windows in May, 2024. I have done considerable investigation into various windows for the mountains which is very different form the window replacements in our McKinney TX home we did in 2017. I was asked by Buddy @ CRW to advise you of my experiences. I have no interest in Buddy’s business and you could find out anything I am going to tell you from your own research. Most of the window reps have a long presentation designed to guide you to their product, many of which are fine quality….some not so much and with widely varying cost that may is generally more related to advertising promotions than quality. Unfortunately, many of sales people are gifted at making sales pitches, but could not answer tough questions and know little about the product manufacturing or installation process.

Thus, listening to a lot of pitches and then researching details on my own, I was able to make my own decisions on product and chose a Marvin Window product with fiberglass frame and an acrylic coating to keep out moisture while limiting heat transfer through the frame. I chose a lower price Marvin because it still has the similar strength characteristics as much higher price (generally have more design and color options) but little or no additional quality. Beyond that, the glass is the next key component and Marvin, like most manufacturer offer high quality dual or triple pane glass with coatings designed to fit the climate. The coatings in the Mountains are very different form those in my Texas home. In the high altitude, it is good to allow heat in while blocking heat loss and simultaneously keep out ultraviolet sunlight to avoid fading of floor and furniture colors.

Once I made this decision, I looked for the company with high quality installation. I found two that impressed me, one was the same contractor from Silverthorne we used for our remodel and the second was Buddy. Having made a choice of the specific window & manufacturer that (in my opinion) provided the best cost effective product option and a provider with quality installers….then I simply needed to secure prices. Both were close with Buddy winning out by about 7%. I felt in control of the process and in all honesty, both of the final providers I talked with and considered had the least dog and pony show….just facts and good info…
