Unexpectedly my living room window got broken. I called several glass replacement companies to come out and give me an estimate. The only company that responded and came out the next was Davis Glass. The following day, they ordered my glass replacement, and when it arrived, they came out and simply replaced it. I appreciate the immediate response and quick replacement of my glass window.
They added screens to our patio several years ago. When they first did, I had to call them out there several time to tighten the screens since there were obvious ripples and even a rip in one. A few months later, one screen actually came out, and we had to call again.Two years later, the same screen came out again, and they charged us several hundred dollars to replace it. The crew leaves the place a mess-- dirty handprints all over, dirt in caulk we can't get out, caps missing, etc. Needless to say, it was not professional.Put half the money down. And then Mike calls for the other half when I'm on a work site. I can't answer, but figure I'll call him back when I'm back to decent cell phone range at the end of the following day. When I see him call again the next day, I have my spouse call, and he's nothing but rude to my spouse, like we are trying to escape the bill. Um, what? It hadn't even been 24 hours...Even asked about the mess left behind, but all that will be done is that it'll be pointed out to "his guys."So tl;dr-- go elsewhere. Do not recommend. Unprofessional. Do not back up their work.And if the guy from two years ago is still there coming out to work on things, make sure you're not alone when he's there-- he'll give you the creeps.
Would NOT recommend. The customer has to do most of the work. Ask ALL the questions, beyond the point of annoyance before any money is paid.Terrible customer service. They came, checked things out then took our screen frames “ordered a storm door” never said anything about how long it would take. Didn’t even show options of what the door would look like, took half the money. Weeks go by and we don’t hear anything, my husband had to hunt them down to get any information and they act like it’s the biggest inconvenience to do their job and serve their customers. When my husband was able to reach someone, he gets the runaround, nobody knows anything. He has to get angry with them and then finds out it could be 2 months before the door comes in.It’s understandable if things could take some time to come in, but that’s important to tell your customer, it’s called “service” for a reason. So much for supporting small business.Will not be back.
Ben and Brian were the team from Davis glass that did the window removal and replacement. They were an excellent team in how they worked together and the quality work that was done. Great setup, and clean up.
