Kangaroo was a great help in getting our home repaired. They “negotiated” with our insurance carrier and got as much as we we entitled to, did the work on time and very professionally, and even found a couple of things we had missed during the original review. All in all, they were great. We would recommend them highly.

Nov 2025 - small, exterior project.
Good news: Easy to work with, responsive, crew & work was excellent (prep, project execution, cleanup)
IMO we paid a premium $$ price for a very basic, straightforward project scope.
Quality workmanship at a premium price

Kangaroo Contractors recently installed gutters at our house. They completed the job quickly and were easy to coordinate and communicate with through the whole process. We would use them again for any future work.

UPDATE Sep 2025: Older home gets a bit more attention from the weather. Back in May had severe storm that disclosed bad caulking on 2d story windows on north side and in turn allowed leak inside house. Also another leak from patio roof out back. As in past contacted Kangaroo and they fixed the problems. Nice to deal with same crew over the years as we both know what to expect from one another. New topic: the other day had an electrical company give a quote for possible upgrade our electrical panel. Contacted Kangaroo to ask for referral for 2d opinion. Reliable electrician came and had a look and said no change warranted. Save a lot of money. UPDATE: May 2023 we got hit with hailstorm (2d for this house) and total of four since moving to TX in 1979. We must be storm magnets. Anyway we went with KC for this hailstorm job and very glad we did. After we got the insurance appraisal we called them on scene. They did their inspection with a drone and contacted the insurance company. Final note Kangaroo Contractors got us a 58% bump in initial claim adjustment review. The adjuster left out a bunch of valid costs which Kangaroo got us the money. Sweet!!! The roofing crew is sub-contractor but follows the GAF Master Roofer Standards. The invoice was very detailed in what they would/would not do. So we had a signed contract before starting work. Weather permitting we a done with hailstorms forever but would call KC again. And for other remodeling jobs as well as the 25+ year old house ages. UPDATE Nov 2020. We have lost count of the number of home improvement/remodeling jobs KC has done for this house. The latest was to replace four outside doors after 22 years of use and wear and tear. The work was well planned and completed in short order. I have already told them of 2021 projects. We have been using their services for many years. They are my first choice for home repairs beyond my skill level. Especially if it means getting above the first floor outside or on the roof. Window cleaning, sun shade screening, fence repairs, minor plumbing, tile flooring and attic insulation are many things they have done over the years. Most recent was repairs following a hail storm. They did the finish work by painting the entire house and fixing broken window frames and screens. If they can't do it Kangaroo can provide an excellent referral. UPDATE Dec 2018 Repairs completed in an excellent manner due to leaking roof damage in family room. Fixed sheet rock and repainted. Also replaced/repaired worn faded trim on roof area and installed better turbo wind vanes for attic. UPDATE May 2016. And they did another great job on master bathroom. Not as extensive as kitchen but still well done. UPDATE Aug 2015. They finished a great remodeling job on kitchen; new everything except cabinets which didn't need change. Scheduling all the sub-contractors took the headache out of getting the job done right and quickly.

The whole experience from estimation to build and then completion was top notch. Everything was done in writing and clearly laid out with expectations. Crew cleaned up everything and left nothing behind. I would recommend Kangaroo for any light construction around your home.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common calls include failed seals causing fogging, water intrusion from deteriorated caulking, and damaged sashes or frames. The team can assess whether a repair is practical or if full replacement is the better long-term option.

An on-site evaluation looks at the window’s age, frame condition, glass seals, and surrounding trim. If multiple components are failing or efficiency is poor, replacement is recommended; isolated issues like failed caulk or a single sash may be repairable.

Crews protect nearby areas, remove the old unit, set and seal the new window, and finish trim. Most projects include a final walkthrough and cleanup so openings are secure and the work area is left tidy.

Yes. They inspect caulking, flashing, siding or trim transitions, and gutters that may direct water toward the opening. The goal is to correct the source and prevent repeat leaks, not just patch symptoms.

Yes. Reviewers note that proposals and expectations are documented in writing before work begins. This helps clarify scope, timelines, and any options discussed during the visit.
