We had 101-year-old windows rehabbed, and their drafty/rattlely metal storm windows replaced. Each step of the process was efficient and friendly. Communication and expectation setting was great. Most importantly, our windows now insulate beautifully for both sound and drafts, and the painted frames of the new storm windows have upgraded the character and style of our home. We had Hayes out to restore ten windows in the sunroom of our 101 year old house. They replaced the original sash cords (some broken, some very worn), replaced a broken window pane, fixed the window locks, and added bronze weatherstripping all around. We live in a hundred+ year old home in South Minneapolis. A lot of these homes still have the original windows. This fall, we noticed a couple windows had extreamly cold air flowing in. One of them, the panes of glass had become separated from the frame completely.
