We replaced the windows on the north side of our house, which was built in 1938, so I was skeptical about how well new windows would blend in. They look completely natural on the house — no complaints there.
The rooms on that side are noticeably warmer, and the sound dampening is impressive compared to the old single-pane windows we had.
Installation-wise, they did it right. Proper flashing tape on the sill and jambs, foam in multiple passes to fill the rough opening, and they even filled the old weight pockets in the wood frames with insulation. Interior trim work was clean, caulked well, and came out with no damage to the existing trim.
You get what you pay for, we will use them for more windows in the future!

Illinois Energy Windows & Siding replaced 10 windows on our home. We are completely satisfied with the new windows. The installers were polite, professional, and respectful of our home. They put runners on the floor throughout the house and left everything clean, vacuuming as they worked. They worked very efficiently as it was a cooler day and the house did not get cold. The windows look great and work great. Our old windows didn't all lock or open and close easily. Also, they were very drafty. The new windows operate very smoothly and keep the cold wind out.

We recently had new windows installed by Illinois Energy, and the entire experience was outstanding from start to finish. The initial sales meeting was informative and pressure-free. They took the time to walk us through our options, explain the benefits of the different window styles, and answer all of our questions clearly. We felt confident in our decision because everything was transparent and tailored to our home’s needs.

The installation process was just as impressive. The crew was professional, punctual, and respectful of our home. They worked efficiently, kept the area clean, and made sure everything was perfectly sealed and finished before leaving. The quality of the windows is immediately noticeable—they feel sturdy, well-built, and expertly crafted. Since the installation, we’ve already seen a huge difference in heat retention, especially during colder days. Our home feels more comfortable, and we’re excited about the potential energy savings. On top of that, the new windows have dramatically improved our home’s curb appeal. They look beautiful and have given our house a fresh, updated appearance. We had a great experience all around at Illinois Energy Windows & Siding. We walked into the showroom and were greeted by a friendly face, who linked us to a salesman. At the in home consultation we were walked through options, pros/cons and pricing in a thorough, relaxed and pleasant manner. The options we chose (a very cool door, btw) were installed within the promised time frame and exceeded our expectations in appearance, functionality and insulation (installed on a very cold day). The installer was great, speedy, detail oriented and efficient. He walked us through the ins and outs of the door (lol), and left our place cleaner than when he started, I'm embarrassed to admit. Really every step of the process said quality, reliability and value. This is a highly competitive field, but I don't think one could find a higher quality product. Very, very happy we chose IEWS.
