Tldr. Excellence without exception.

I have to give a bit of backstory to make this review make sense.

My wife and I bought a house in mid city that was built in the 1920s with the intention of restoring it. It has been 6 months since we started this endeavor.

All of the trim and sashes were painted white since the 1970s. These beautiful pieces of hand carved carpentry were covered in landlord grade white latex paint. Theses windows were painted shut with the care an Uber driver picks up a McDonald's order.

We saw the potential and acquired the house. We decided we would restore it to it's former glory as much as we could. With YouTube and curiosity we managed to strip the paint off as far as we could while keeping a semi-sane mind. After we decided it was too big of a task for us we decided to dip the sashes at Stip-ease. Kavanaugh was great to work with and did his best.

After getting the sashes and doors back from strip ease we brought them to Nola Wood Works. If time is not your friend, they are going to be tough. They are so focused on excellence, that time has very little meaning. Their focus on detail and absolute uncompromising excellent work is something I wish I could apply to most of my life.

When I say the job they did is better then I possibly imagined, I am not exaggerating. The sashes and doors I brought them came out perfect. There is no other word to describe it. They appreciated every hand carved nook and cranny and made it more beautiful then it ever was. The front door was absolutely buckled when I brought it to them. I had brought it to a guy who fixes historic wooden boats and he said it could not be fixed. By no less then a miracle, Nola Wood Windows not only fixed it, but also brought it back to it's former glory.

Not only did they restore the windows and doors, they taught me how to reinstall them with absolute patience and understanding. They were the most helpful people I have ever encountered.

They represent excellence, beauty, respect, and patience. They are the type of business I want to 10,000% support. If I ever have anything even related to what services they provide they are the first number I will call. I am not a person who gives a recommendation lightly, and I whole heartedly give them my full recommendation.

Thank you to Nola Wood Windows. Your mission is pure, and your execution is nothing shy of excellent.

Thanks,

Russell Perez

Gus did an amazing job repairing issues with our antique doors. It meant a lot that we got such great communication from him every step of the way. I could not recommend him more highly!
