Berdick Windows & Doors - Penticton

My one star review is not product related - Burdick doesn’t make the doors - they sell them. I ordered a door to replace an old wooden door on a 90 year old farmhouse - door size is custom and smaller than standard doors today - shorter and narrower. I ended up with a door that was custom CUT to my dimensions and ended up with door hardware 28” from the floor - perfect for very short adults or children- and the hinge placements are not to scale on the door either. You need to bend down to use the keypad - just saying… When I shared my dissatisfaction over this hobbit door - it was then explained that I ordered a standard door - all holes are pre drilled for standard height - and then it’s cut down to my height. Had someone - one of their door and window experts in the sales team explain that my door would not be to scale and quite frankly -a $1200 joke of my house Reno - I would have opted for a custom ORDER vs custom CUT door - where the door is Made to your dimension and then the holes are drilled to scale. Communications - if only someone had cared enough or taken the time to review the order closely . All I got from them was - thanks for your feedback. I hope they appreciate mine on Google!

Slowly replacing the windows (a few per year) in our built in the 80’s house, and Berdick’s 9000 series renovation windows have been great…. Easy to install and make an instant difference in both warmth and light. Service has been excellent too, will keep using them as long as I need to keep updating our place!

I typically find that for any product you get what you pay for. The windows were built with attention to detail, in a timely fashion and are of great quality (yet to withstand a winter but I do not have doubts they will stand up to the task). Where Berdick stands apart for me is the level of service and care from the quoting, manufacturing and delivery. Brian Walker at Berdick stands apart as a top notch individual. I had mainly dealt with Brian, and with my brief interactions with the remaining staff I feel that they are all of of the same caliber. I am looking forward to completing my doors in the near future and working with Berdick again.
