Window and door product consultations, replacement planning, measurements coordination, quotes, and ordering support for Pella-branded windows and doors.
Integrity goes a long way with me. Pella was the only vendor that didn't bash the competition and provided an easy to understand quote. Great job JP, you represent your company well. I'm happy I'm going with Pella for my home in Kennebunk.
My wife and I drove from Bangor to Scarborough because we wanted to see Pella exterior doors and the different kinds of glass that could be installed. Unfortunately, their door selections were minimal at best and they had no glass samples to look at. This was quite disappointing. The employee in Scarborough was very helpful and apologetic. We did drive to New Hampshire to try the next closest showroom. Same results.
The Lifestyle windows we ordered are okay. The amount of damage they arrived with and excuses the Pella support staff made was pretty off puttingWe had some pretty significant damage, large sections of broken wood jambs, large dents in the aluminum frames. The techs response?"You won't see that unless you're on a ladder""Well the casing will cover that right?"The tech is not wrong, but its a lot of money for a damaged product, and a pretty poor attitude. Ultimately every window we received was damaged in some way (10 total).I wouldnt recommend Pella to anyone based on this experience, and frankly, wish I'd spent the little bit more on the Andersen A-Series.UPDATE- Don’t be fooled by their response below. I reached out to the email and they did nothing.
We fitted our new home in Cape Elizabeth with Pella windows. The order was placed just as COVID was having an impact on Supply chains through the globe. Our windows were delivered on schedule and installed to Spec…. What is equally important has been the outstanding customer service that I’ve experienced from Pella. There were some minor issues with a few of the windows and the Service Tech Bobby, has been incredibly responsive and reliable when it comes to back this product warranty. I’ve heard some nightmare stories about people who have build and chose different manufacturers, my recommendation is to consider PELLA for both their Sales knowledge and customer service.
We replaced a door to our greenhouse with a wood hinged patio door. It was installed out of square, and would not close properly. Additionally, smudges were left on the interior panes of glass and could not be cleaned off until a customer service representative brought a tool to open the panes of glass so we could clean the insides ourselves. After a month of back and forth phone calls with customer service about reassessing the door, it was determined that the door had to be replaced. When they finally came to "replace" the door, only the frame was replaced and the product was still slightly uneven after this attempt to correct it. Quality of the "finished" product does not reflect the price that was paid, and in retrospect I would not have chosen Pella for this project, which most certainly could have been done better for less money!
