Decided to go back to Shalwin for a new door after they installed windows on my new build in 2020.Big mistake. Standards (for a once reputable company) have dropped significantly. Dealing with their people is a joke, not a care or concern in the world and poor attitudes. Workmanship standards are amateurish, sloppy and not up to the standards one should expect given the cost.It is wild that they position themselves as ‘high-end residential’ as they are quite simply not any more.
As a sustainable design specialist, I must emphasize the poor quality of the installation carried out by Shalwin.The installation work has numerous shortcomings: lack of precision, misalignment, insufficient sealing, and sloppy product finishing. These problems not only detract from the aesthetic appearance but, more importantly, from the performance and durability of the structure. For a project that demands precision and high-quality execution, the result is disappointing and falls short of expected professional standards.
Sur ma construction neuve, Shalwin a fourni et installé les fenêtres avec leurs propres installateurs, suite à une mauvaise installation du produits (problème de vis qui fixe le cadre selon leur chargé de projet), ils ont dû ré-installer 80% des fenêtres de la maison 6 mois après la fin de la construction. Afin de faire les corrections Shalwin détruisent les murs autour des fenêtres ( gypse, coin de métal, plâtre et peinture. Le chargé de projet me suggère de contacter un entrepreneur de ma région pour faire les réparations car plus facile pour moi avec mes contacts, ce que je fais ( j’ai dû en trouver un autre car il trouvait le premier trop cher)….à la demande du chargé de projet je paye les factures pour 15k et ensuite Shalwin me laisse tomber et refuse de rembourser. Je vous laisse juger de la qualité du service après vente…mais surtout de l’éthique de travail de la direction.
Extremely poor quality control of product, and adolescent installation. If you desire being ghosted should an issue arise, I strongly recommend this company! P.S. lifetime contractor.
