Initial conversations were positive, well explained. Workers showed up on time (actually early), worked all day, got the entire roof of our home done in 2 days, a bit earlier than promised. We were very pleased.
After the ice storm, we had some major damage to our roof, primarily from disloged pipes from the wood stove and vent pipes from the bathrooms. I ended up with holes in the roof that could have been disastrous if left opened. Valley roofing came over the mountain and fixed it temporarily, made it leak proof until a coordinated visit with the stove company could be arranged. I will be forever grateful to them for helping us out in our time of need.PS. During their visit to finalize the placement of the stove pipe, one of the gentlemen is was kind enough to shovel my front steps for me! I wasn't able to get out there amd do it myself for fear of falling due to all the ice. Everyone I worked with at Valley Roofing was professional and courteous. The proposal was thorough, and the price was competitive. Best of all, the work was well done, completed in two days, and my roof is beautiful.
We were very pleased with the work done by Valley Roofing earlier this year. Our 1941 house needed a facelift and we contracted Valley to do the entire job. We sought estimates and had conversations from several other companies but was most impressed with Valley. One of the things that was lacking from others was thoroughly presenting what work was to be done and the costs associated. Hard to believe, I know. Some companies just gave me generic information and left a lot of questions. The estimate had pictures, highlights of specific things to be done or not done, etc... As for the work: they performed all work according to the estimate, were quick to respond when I had questions, and remained flexible throughout in order to make sure they left me a satisfied customer. We had them remove and replace our shingle roof, our flat porch roof, and our siding. They also installed two gutters. One was the front bay window with tough angles and uncommon challenges. Also, our flat roof had some scary water damaged boards under our old tar and pebble roof that they worked with me to address/repair in order to prepare a lasting structure for the TPO Rubber roof they installed. I had other estimates that were cheaper, however, I feel like I received more for my money in the end. It was important to have one company do all the work and be accountable to transition from one part of the job to the other. The roofing crews (flat roof and shingle roof), the siding crew and the gutter crew had to coordinate the job to eliminate "rework". I have been self-employed for 30 years in the service industry and have built my business on repeat and referral clients. If you were to ask me, "Would you have Valley do other/future work for you again?", the answer would be a resounding, "YES".
We could not be happier with the service and the quality of the work from Valley Roofing. Our home is 5000 Sf and 120' long. It was an old country store for many years and had presented numerous challenges to say the least. Lowell's thorough inspection and assessment of the job allowed him to recommend products that best fit our requirements for vinyl siding, gutters, decking, handrails and sun tunnels. He explained the pros and cons of different products and advised us on what would work best. Jeff and Joe the siding crew are perfectionists to say the least. Their attention to detail, workmanship and ability to solve a multitude of challenges involving vinyl and metal trim on an old house that has 5 additions was outstanding. The project managers and installation crews for the decking, handrails, gutters and sun tunnels were excellent. All the work was performed on time and crews always kept us up to date on progress. The recommendations I received by all the crews throughout the job to give us the best job possible were always on the mark and resulted in a beautiful home. As our home is on a main road we receive compliments all the time from people in town on how amazing the house looks and have had people knock on the door to ask us about the job and who did the work. Other contractors working on the house are very impressed with the work and ask "Who did this work? It is excellent." I tell them "Valley Roofing" and show them all the amazing work they did and the creativity they brought to the job to solve the challenges on this older home. I highly recommend Valley Roofing.
