Customer feedback is mixed, with many noting quick, punctual service visits and courteous technicians. Some reviews report manufacturing or order accuracy issues, such as mismatched materials or incorrect grid orientations, and delays in resolving multi-window orders. There are recurring comments about product finish concerns on arrival for certain orders. Warranty eligibility and clarity also appear as a concern in several homeowner accounts.
Original complaint sent to BBB 12/24/2025 Complaint ID 24317897.As of this posting. the project is not complete. Next appointment February 23rd between 1:30 - 3:30 So I've been waiting since December to get all my windows installed. Hopefully this won't be going into March 2026.Ordered a total of 19 windows. Out of the 19, 5 were manufactured incorrectly some without slats and others with slats horizontal instead of vertical. Milgard said they would fix it. First it would take 2 months to do. Then after getting the Regional Sales Manager involved 2 weeks. Once the installers came 1 window didn't fit and the other 4 the slats were incorrect so they left with all 5 windows.January 20th, 2026BBB got back with me regarding Milgards response. They were very sorry and wants to know the Regional Sales Managers name. They will reach out about this order.February 6th Milgard to be out between 10:15 and 12:00 they showed up at 8:45 am to install the 5 windows they didn't manufacture correctly the last time. This time they were able to install 2 of the window correctly. The other 3 had to be returned again for remanufacturing. The 3 they brought out were the same as the took last time. So the remeasured and left. They are now scheduled for February 13th between 2:00 and 4:00.I got a call that morning and said they check the windows before coming out but were manufactured incorrectly and wouldn't be out.Now they will be out February 23rd between 1:30 and 3:30. This will be the third time moving furniture for them to install. Will see what happens. To be continued...
The Milgard rep showed up on time and had my damaged window replace in 30 minutes. He was very courteous and answered any questions I had. He also told me about a great window cleaner that works great!
Delivered mismatched windows for top and bottom - we ordered fiberglass for both - they never disclosed that they were subbing wood and aluminum for the arch and it’s not clear on the website. They also claimed the aluminum would seamlessly blend with with the fiberglass - it’s different in color and texture and so obviously so our installers signaled us the second they opened the box. Milgard won’t make it right and give us either matching materials as they advertised or the same material as we ordered and paid for. I’m left with broken stucco and a mess after they delayed for months - their rep was consulted multiple times and never disclosed the difference in materials or that they wouldn’t match. Waited a month and a half for these windows that were originally priced about 8k with tax. Paid over 5k after a big discount to replace every window in the house, but I’m beginning to think I paid too much. You could convince me these windows were not new, but used, the way they’re nicked, scuffed, and scraped on every window; which is impressive because there are over 10 windows. It would be fine if I could wash these marks off with some soap and water but they're marked so deep you could see them from 10 ft away.I’m not sure what’s going on with Milgard but the brand new windows that arrived looked worse than those in the showrooms that have gone through years of usage. If you’re deciding on whether to purchase new windows from Milgard maybe reconsider unless you want used windows for the price of brand new.
I am writing to express my frustration with Milgard's handling of a product defect issue that I have encountered. I purchased my home 8 years ago, and approximately two years later, I began experiencing significant issues with the resin in the windows, which has now failed in every window throughout my home. When I contacted Milgard to request a resolution, I was informed that, as I am not the original owner, I do not qualify for replacement, despite the fact that Milgard has acknowledged that the failure was due to a defect in their product. This response was due to a defect in their product. This response was not only disappointing but also unfair.Since then, I have spoken with my neighbor, the original homeowner and I advised them to file a claim with Milgard. After six months of waiting, Milgard agreed to replace every window in her home.Given that many homes in my community, over 100 in total in just this community are equipped with the same windows from Milgard, I feel it is important that other homeowners are made aware of this issue. I will be proactively reaching out to my neighbors, encouraging them to file their own claims with Milgard, as they too may be facing similar problems. It is my belief that Milgard should take responsibility for the failure of their product, and I urge the company to reconsider its stance on customer service and product accountability. No homeowner should have to deal with a defective product without recourse, especially when the company acknowledges the failure of its own materials.I am a single mother and a proud veteran, and this is my family's first home. Unfortunately, the situation we are currently facing has been extremely challenging. As a middle-class earner, I do not have the financial means to replace all of the windows in my home. This issue has been a significant source of stress for my children and me.I don't trust Milgard but I will do everything possible to get the word out to my neighborhood and I will assist them with taking the necessary steps to address this issue so that milgard do not get away with this and fulfill its obligations to affected customers.I will also be going to the internet and every social media that will hear my experience and post my story.
