I could not be happier with my new Renewal by Anderson Replacement Windows.
I was impressed by their commercials and sale incentives. I had an accident this summer that put me in the hospital and nursing homes, so my daughter put me on a video call with Antonio when he came for the consultation for my 1966 brick ranch. Antonio even came to the nursing home to go over all my wants for the windows.
My daughter had actually scheduled another window company consultation to compare but was so impressed with the quality of the Andersen windows that she cancelled the other appointment.
Antonio listened to all my needs and wants and was very patient as I detailed my concerns with my arthritis and weakened strength. Don't be afraid to ask if things can be done for your well-being. I wanted frosted glass for the bathroom window, a slider window above the kitchen sink because cranks are too hard to use. My favorite window of all is the beautiful Bay Window I had installed instead of replacing 2 side by side double hung windows. I asked to have the 2 smaller side windows that open be double hung instead of cranks - again for my ease of operation. My favorite part of the bay window is the wide depth shelf at the bottom. I collect angels and intend to display many of my angels on this ledge. I might even put a small Christmas tree there to save floor space with my wheelchair. I'm telling you I couldn't be happier with that gorgeous bay window!!! I also had the ledge and top panel of the bay painted white instead of being stained and the light coming in reflects beautifully adding even more sunlight into my family room.
Before the scheduled window install my son in law advised me that my sliding patio door was leaking. Originally, I wasn't planning on getting a new patio door. In a panic right before Christmas, I called Antonio and asked if by any miracle they had a set of patio sliders. He spoke with his supervisor and they did. (All Anderson windows are custom measured for your home) so I was really lucky. Antonio came to my house, as I was still in the nursing home, and met the installers. So now I have a new easy glide patio door too!
The crew that came to install the windows were done with my entire house and the garage window, except for the bay in one day. The second day they installed the bay window and did the finishing details for the others. My house even feels warmer now. My furniture was carefully moved and or covered to protect it. The guys put floor canvas down to walk on and vacuumed the areas that needed clean up.
Tom was the lead foreman and helped with being very precise - making sure all the windows were leveled and shimmed. Tom was also able to pivot on the spot with a windowsill that had accidentally been broken, not by his crew, but during demolition. I asked if he was able to just trim the window out with a frame around the window since it was above the towel bar in the bathroom and it would give more room. Tom made that happened and was able to stain the frame to match the rest of the trim. Jason worked outside in the bitter cold along with Jayden who also did clean up. Paris made sure furniture was covered with clean, thick plastic to protect my furniture, and helped with clean up. There was a tiny spot on the bay window that needed a touch up and Dan came the next day and taped off the small area and repainted it. I couldn't even tell you where it was. I didn't have to give my final check until I had done a walk through and had a demo on how easily the windows can be cleaned. Antonio made sure to show me how to do that and Aaron came the next day with my paperwork and I gladly paid for my beautiful, functional windows.
