When I saw that the door didn't close evenly, I began researching into getting assistance. At first, it wasn't noticeable, but eventually I noticed a tiny opening along one edge, which was beginning to change how it felt to lock. Instead of presuming anything needed to be changed, the technician concentrated on how the door was positioned within the frame throughout the visit. He pointed out that the door had moved slightly, which was enough to throw everything off, after inspecting the hinges and alignment. After adjusting the placement and making a few hinge adjustments, the lock alignment was verified.It was a little but significant change. The door shuts evenly, the gap disappears, and the lock engages without the need for human push or adjustment.

My front entrance door had developed a fault where it would not close quietly regardless of how carefully you pulled it behind you. Every client arrival was announced by a sharp click that cut through whatever conversation was happening in the treatment room. In therapeutic work interruption matters and that door was interrupting every session at least once. VAGO Doors and Windows Vaughan adjusted the latch mechanism and installed a soft close strike plate that brings the door to silence every time. My next client after the repair arrived and I did not hear the door at all. I nearly went to check she had actually come in.
