Customer feedback is mixed. Positive reviews often mention installers who are courteous, explain the work, and accommodate scheduling when possible. Critical reviews cite missed or shifting schedules, communication gaps between the installer and retailer, and concerns about finish details on some door jobs. Expectations around responsibilities between the retailer and installer appear to be a recurring theme.

this company called me last year to remind me that, as I had left an unsupportive review elsewhere for atrocious customer service and inability to show up, the actual installer is to be dinged with a financial disincentive. The company person asked me to update the review. I choose not to. Through no fault of East Coast Millwork, the patio door that was installed has a structural defect and Lowes organized to have a new door replaced. Although east coast millwork made an appointment to install the new door on the 20 February, that simply did not happen. 6 months and no resolution.

I cannot possibly put into words how EXCEPTIONAL this company is…we purchased special order doors from Lowe’s. The doors arrived at the store and we called about installing them…we were hoping for installation prior to Christmas but they were booking into mid January. Spoke to Tris and she said that she would try to work something out….she called back a couple hours later and said how about December 22nd. We were beyond thrilled and said yes. The installers were EXCELLENT, (wish I could remember their names) and completed a difficult two door installation in less than 6 hours. They were personable and worked diligently to do the job RIGHT. You guys made our Christmas GREAT!

Jachane James installed our new garage door opener that we purchased through Lowe's. Jachane was INCREDIBLE and went above and beyond! He was kind, patient, and professional. He did an excellent job with the install itself, and then explained everything we needed to know.

Jachane quickly realized that we needed an extender for the opener (due to door size). He told me exactly what to call and order, and then he himself drove 35 mins round trip to Bloomfield to pick-up the product!

I cannot thank Jachane James enough! He is what everyone wishes for in a contractor.

$5,100 Door Disaster – Don’t Trust Lowe’s or East Coast Millwork

Paid $5,100 for a custom exterior door through Lowe’s, installed by East Coast Millwork. It’s been nothing short of a disaster.

Before installation, East Coast Millwork admitted the door was damaged and told me to contact Lowe’s. After I did, they lied and denied it, leaving me stuck between two companies pointing fingers. The workmanship speaks for itself — sloppy caulking that washed away after one rain, visible plugs and screws all over the molding, scuffed panels, dents, mismatched brass hinges, and a screen door that doesn’t close or seal properly.

The door came only primed, not factory-painted as ordered, with uneven color and finish. I waited six months for this door after Lowe’s originally placed the wrong order — and this is what arrived.

Consumers deserve better than being misled, overcharged, and handed subpar work. Look at the photos and judge for yourself. Companies like this shouldn’t be able to keep doing business this way

The workers seem to perform good work, but, the management is terrible. They completely failed to meet agreed schedules and took no responsibility for sending an adequate number of craftsmen to complete the work in the agreed period of time. Codi Quinn was dismissive of schedule commitments and took the attitude that he was doing me a favor meeting commitments that he made. He refused to put me on the phone with his boss someone named John Searles.

I would not recommend them to anyone. Stay way.

We are now into the third day of a promised one day job. I have missed 2 days of my own work due to their poor and erratic scheduling.
