Had an issue where a hinge that was previously a problem became a problem again, resulting in a large window that was lodged open on the cusp of an oncoming cold front. After calling multiple places and being denied service, I discovered that GAES were the ones that had fixed it prior. I called, and was told that they could come out that day to check it out, but the minimum price would be $200 for just an evaluation.However, once the window tech took a look at it and discovered it was an incredibly easy fix, not only did he show me how to do it, prevent it from happening in the future, and check to make sure there was nothing else wrong with the structure of the window itself that might also have been lending to the issue, he charged me NOTHING, and hugged me as he got back into his truck.I wish there was a way to give this place higher than five stars. Absolute best window repair place in the entire city and county. When every other place brushed me off or said they didn't do the type of work their google profile said they do, these guys came through and delivered exponentially beyond what I expected and should be considered the standard for service.
My big, heavy. 45 year old 8 ft slider was binding about midway. GAES evaluated and gave me an estimate. Had to order parts then showed up when they promised, and repaired as quoted. Fast, courteous; cleaned up after the job.They obviously understood how the door functioned and what it needed to operate properly. It is still a very heavy door but it fully opens and should last several more years.True craftsmanship.
Quality, timely and professional. We had a large tempered glass window spontaneously shatter. Anastasia’s communication throughout the project was very timely and helpful. GAES came quickly and the window was installed as promised and looks wonderful. Their replacement product matched our existing glass windows perfectly. Sergei and his team worked hard and cleaned up meticulously.
I was so pleased to learn about GAES window repairs. We had a few windows with some rotted wood that was actually worse than it appeared. Replacing the individual window sash was no longer an option from the manufacturer. The cost for a new replacement window was astronomical compare to what GAES quoted for taking the sash out, cutting out the bad wood, replacing with new wood, staining to match and reassembling. Photos show bad wood, and new wood installed just before staining.Sergei and his team were professional, courteous, and highly skilled. I would hire them again if any more windows require it.
