Mason and Tony did a great job in the installation process. They did it in a neat in orderly way left the house cleaner than what it was before. Also provided great information as to the operation of the windows. I definitely will be returning as a customer. Love the refreshed look it gives the house
We just had all our windows replaced. I had read that Renewal by Anderson installation service was "white glove". This is an understatement! Cornel's team was outstanding. They were friendly, professional and answered every question we had. I highly recommend Renewal by Anderson and in particular Cornel's installation team. They replaced 13 widows in one day. We're already thinking of replacing our patio door next year and will request that Cornel's team do the installation. Other than the new windows, you would never know the installation happened. My experience was nothing but exceptional from start to finish. They listen to your needs and do not push beyond. Kyle and Clayton, my installation team were exceptional. Initially I was excited to get my new windows. Then the installer gave me a way more thorough explanation with visuals on the type of installation (insert) and the extra piece of trim they would be adding inside my windows. I lost over an inch of width on my existing window jambs/sills and this 'insert' type installation means 1/2 the width of their new windows would be sitting on top of my existing inside jambs/sills while the other 1/2 on the outside would be shimmed in place with wood blocks. For over 40k this type of install was mind blowing and I wanted to cancel immediately but was told I would be liable for the entire 40k bill if I backed out so they had me because their sales man and their measuring man failed to explain the installation type like their installer did. I live in a condo and even though I shouldn't have to say it I did, numerous times, that the outside can't look any different with the new windows. My prior windows were flush in their openings with the siding on my condo, meaning no trim on the window itself stuck out even 1/8 of an inch from the siding on my condo. Guess what....Andersen put trim around the outside of their windows that sticks out 1/8 of an inch. I had to stop their work and call the condo board maintenance guy who had to drop everything to come over and look. I was hoping he would not approve it but they ok'd it cuz in their words 'Sherry it'll cost you thousands to back out now'. Now the outside of my condo has a slightly different look around the windows than all the other condos so thank you Andersen!! This could be an unappealing feature to potential future buyers of my property. Since install I've had to turn my inside temp up 2 degrees and if there is 15mph or higher winds outside I freeze inside. Our first numerous days of severe negative winter temps look at all the ice/frost build up in areas around the windows that isn't the glass..the glass..well you can see some of the ice build up on the bottom panes. Was worse up top where bottom and top frames meet. Humidity level in my house at the time was in the low 20% range. Can't touch our dog without getting shocked so it is DRY in my house. 40K+ and this is what I get to look forward to each winter. And the patio door...it's actually harder to slide open and close than my 20 year old one they took out. My ADVICE...if you need new windows go with Marvin Infinity brand and get yourself an installation company that installs the right way...FULL install. Make sure the word 'insert' is not mentioned at all in your installation talks or installation documentation. I seriously regret not paying about 6k more and going with Callen Construction with their Marvin windows that would've been a full install...nothing sitting on top of my existing inside jambs/sills & they would've replaced all existing inside jambs/trim & exterior trim. And my inside jambs/sills are stained wood. If I ever have to replace them I'm literally screwed now that the windows are resting on just over an inch of them. Makes me want to sell my house.
