Chris Bryant assigned Robert to handle some enhancements to the hurricane doors recently installed. These enhancements were recommended by the Company President, Peter Bulger, after inspection of the completed project. We were impressed that he personally came to inspect the project, and offered to provide these enhancements at his expense. Robert came to first review the work with us to ensure that we agreed with the project and methods that he was planning. He was very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. He performed all of the tasks that could be done today, and will return to paint when the area has dried. It is obvious that MaxGuard goes above and beyond to make sure that the customer is satisfied.
I recently had 15 vinyl hurricane windows installed. The windows are of high quality and the installation was very organized and professional. From my salesman Dan, to Tracy in customer service, to Dino who measured and ordered the windows, to Peter the manager who told me when the windows had arrived, to the installers...everyone was very courteous, kind, and professional. And, I want to put out a good word for Pavel, one of the installers. He was very detail oriented, a perfectionist who takes pride in his work, and was pleasant and respectful whenever I had a question or concern. I am quite happy with the finished product.
MaxGuard and their team are first class! Their window & door tech, Robert Crill, is very knowledgeable, polite and goes the extra mile to exceed expectations. If you’re looking for a Window & Door company who stands behind their products and craftsmanship, this firm has the experience and they will be here for the long run to support what they sell. 10 stars to Robert, Chris, and the Company!
The installation process was a mess1) 1rst attempt: 1wrong windows, 1 cracked windows,no stickers for inspection, pieces of the trim of front door are missing( the overhead trim alomost felt on our haed when we open the door)Broken windows frames and floor tiles.3 patio doors not properly installed and filt missing so there is a 1,5x1,5 inch gap between the sliding doors so the leafs/ debris and insect went in!!!2) 2nd attempt: replacement of the wrong window but did not know that there is a cracked one to be replaced also. Pieces of window sash and trim still missing3)3th attempt: replacement of the cracked window. The message for missing pieces did not get through the repairman4)4 attempt: finally Robert adjust the patio doors and made request for the pieces missing. But another window is cracked… still waiting for it.On the bright side, Robert was very helpful and competent. I would give a 5 ?? to him without hesitationThe work started in april 2025 and still going on
Since Max Guard’s reply, I’ve updated the review to include text messages, highlighting my complaints and specifically where I mentioned the mold I found that they never addressed. I appreciate their asking me to reach out, but I think as a courtesy would make more sense for them to call me.A complete nightmare from start to finish.I deeply regret choosing Max Guard Hurricane Windows and Doors. The experience was a disaster from the very beginning. The salesman sold me on one design, but after I signed the contract and the engineer came out, they changed everything. The installation was rushed and sloppy — the installers left broken glass inside my home, outside around the property, and even in my pool. Afterward, I discovered scratches and damage on the handles and moldings, terrible caulking, and cheap screens that don’t even seal properly. The weatherstripping is too short, so the screens constantly move with the wind leaving them displaced and not preventing bugs and debris from getting to the doors. When I reached out for help, customer service was unresponsive and dismissive. The only way I could get their attention was by disputing the charge with my American Express card.Fast forward a year later — the same issues persist. The screens were never fixed, and my home has since developed mold. I pointed this out to Max Guard just weeks after the installation, but they refused to take accountability or even investigate. Since then, my family has experienced ongoing health issues that began after the doors were installed. I’ve now had to undertake an extremely costly mold remediation, and the professionals confirmed that the door and window installation was the cause — with visible holes allowing moisture to enter. This company’s workmanship, materials, and accountability are unacceptable. If you value your home, your health, and your sanity — stay away from Max Guard. I will be attaching photos from the remediation company that show the holes they left behind.
