My home is 42 years old and the master bedroom ensuite and the main bathroom required to be enlarged and updated with walk in showers. On meeting Christopher Stiles the project manager from Alair Homes White Rock he immediately helped me with his experience and professionalism to finalize the bathrooms layout and design. It was a major renovation moving walls adding two skylights including adding all new fixtures, toilets, vanities etc. including locations for the new walk in showers, location for support bars for my wife's medical condition. Many different aspects had to be considered. Everything had to be stripped out down to the bare studs and floorboards even the stucco ceiling was modified. Christopher was with the project all the way supervising the various trades, constantly checking dimensions and proper location of fixtures, etc. Because of his presence the project went smoothly and I really appreciated it. If there was a minor incident he got it fixed very quickly. I think the finished product is beautiful and meets all the space and design requirements requested. Final bonus the project was completed just under two month as planned and also the final cost was super close to the original budget estimates. Thanks Christopher for a job well done it's definitely "5 star"

I worked with Christopher Stiles and Jeff Goulet on a full apartment remodel in False Creek. They completely exceeded my expectations and did beautiful work. I appreciated the way Christopher drove the initial scoping of the project, as well as the ongoing management through the Alair dashboards to make sure there were no surprises, and that everything was operating smoothly. Jeff did a fantastic job in managing the project, and driving much of the carpentry work himself. I found him to be flexible and transparent about cost, delays, issues, etc. and was impressed with his ability to keep things on track. He also built the fireplace mantle, kitchen shelves, and several other items himself, and did an outstanding job!

Throughout the whole project things were managed in a transparent way through the Alair portal. This allowed me to keep track of expenses, and understand how things were going in terms of schedule. Jeff sent weekly updates summarizing everything as well which was appreciated. There were some small delays due to supply chain issues (covid related), but they were always sorted out as quickly and inexpensively as possible.

I would gladly with with Christopher and Jeff again when the time comes, and I cannot recommend them strongly enough.

Chris Stiles and Alair South Surrey successfully renovated our 1990s home that consisted of a 3Bd/1Bath lower suite and 4Bd/2Bath upper floor. From the initial assessment/bid to final key turnover - Chris and project manager, Jeff, provided specific, reliable, and up-to-date information about the completed work, schedule tracking, scope tracking/changes, hiccups and budget tracking. They were quick to respond to any concerns or questions I had along the way, either via phone, email, text and on. I felt my family's investment was safe in their hands and had confidence in their ability to complete the scope of work. The spaces turned out beautiful, and I have gotten several compliments on the result from prospective tenants and friends. You can trust these guys, and they'll do everything to ensure that your needs and expectations are met.

I've worked with several contractors in the past, and Alair, by far, have been the best. Chris and his team completely respect your desires within reasonable means to provide an optimized benefit and utilization of your resources. I have a thousand ideas running constantly and like to explore almost every option at my arsenal, and usually have trouble making final decisions. That makes things very tough for contractors, for several reasons but the key end point is - Alair will still deliver. They listened to all my ideas and provided quality input. Chris is very good at 'cutting out the fat" at the beginning for things he thinks may not bring actual value to your goals or budget, and Jeff was excellent at vetting all the costs and tracking the costs. Prior to meeting Chris, I've experienced it all when much of the scope/bid work was "free" just to win my business. Those are all projects where at least one of the following occurred: long wait times and zero/bad communication, no paper trails, hidden costs, underestimation of costs or difficulty causing the quantity and quality of work to be compromised, or the project just completely abandoned. Whatever money I thought I was 'saving' up front was nullified the moment the goal was not met, and it always costs more to fix these issues than just getting it right from the beginning.

Chris Stiles and the Alair South Surrey set the bar quite high for me and will definitely be the first to call whenever I have another project or need to recommend a contractor to a friend.

From start to finish they run very smooth. You can tell that Christopher takes his time in what he does and wants the best quality for every job big or small. He isn't just the owner/ builder he is also hands on if something needs to be done. He puts on the tool belt and gets it done. I gotta say from a contractors point of view he runs a tight ship and every trade that works for him he treats like family. working with lots of builders over the years I can say hands down Alair Homes is by far the best out there. Some builders try to cut some corners here and there to save a bit of money to fill their pockets but with Alair they want everything done to perfection and that is what i like cause I hate being asked to cut corners I believe a homeowner should get what they are paying for.
