Services include concrete flatwork (slabs, pads, walkways, patios), step and stair pours, stamped concrete resealing, minor concrete repair, and retaining wall repair.
We hired Deangelis concrete to install a stamped concrete walkway in August 2021. The quality of the work was poor to say the least. Lots of defects in the stamp work, large gaps in concrete between stairs, very rough unfinished looking corners and edges in many places. When we brought these things to his attention he tried to repair some of these defects with a grinding tool and only made things worse. The slope of the steps in the walkway is inconsistent and in some places it is so steep it poses a safety risk. We requested a refund but Deangelis concrete refused. We were awarded damages in small claims court, but John Deangelis has still refused to pay.
After originally leaving an excellent review about the work quality that was performed on the shed pad that John installed, I need to update my review. Now that my contractor has begun building my 20 x 20 shed, it was discovered that it is 9 inches out of square and 2 inches out of level. In order to build a plumb and level shed, it will now cost me more in labor. Even though John was good to work with, his work quality on this job was not good.
Sloppy patch job. Did not seal unit properly so light from indoors is visible outside. On top of doing poor work left a mess outside and even splashed cement on the building. When confronted about the work he promised to come back to fix it but did never did once the check cleared. This was done in September 2021 not 3 years ago.
I am not a frequent review writer but I thought this service was outstanding. Within 2 days of calling for a quote on getting my stamp concrete pool deck resealed, the owner of the company was at my door. He gave me a fair price and completed the work that weekend. Not only was he professional but he completely revitalized my faded pool deck. I was amazed at the result. As someone who works in law enforcement, I am very careful who I have perform work at my house. I would not hesitate to have this company perform work while I was away.....extremely trustworthy, professional and STRAIGHT FORWARD!
I got lucky when I googled for a concrete foundation. I talked to a lot of guys but John stood out.He was very professional and HONEST. We made an appointment and he came right over to assess the job. His price was very reasonable and in the ballpark I was in. He explained very precisely what he would do and he did it. ( love that) Newsflash- he cleaned up and came back to make sure everything was fine. I am very happy with his work, over the moon. My foundation is gorgeous! The installers that assembled my shed were impressed. I would highly recommend and encourage his services. He is a hard working, honest man who takes pride in his work and believe me when I tell you " his work speaks for itself ".
