Concrete demolition and replacement, new flatwork (driveways, sidewalks, walkways, patios), small site prep, and related finish work for residential and light commercial settings.
Customer feedback highlights friendly communication, clear scheduling, and thorough cleanup on completed projects like sidewalks and walkways. Several reviews praise the owner’s responsiveness and workmanship. Some negative reviews cite missed estimate appointments and concerns about cracking on a patio after about a year. Overall sentiment is mixed, with both strong positives and a few consistency issues noted.
Really wanted to rate this company higher but a couple things rubbed me the wrong way. The owner Travis is a good guy, and easy to talk to. The pricing for a 3rd driveway spot, walkway, and back patio came in $1000s less than a local competitor.Where I've been disappointed is that my concrete patio has begun having stress fractures that are pretty substantial after only about a year, and they arent small ones. Which shows poor surface prep below it. The stain that was put on the border of my patio and walkway was put on very sloppy with some of the stain bleeding over onto the plain concrete walkway, and I had to bring up several surface imperfections when it was poured to have them fixed because their were random blotchy darker areas in my pour. And one random spot where when they broom finished the patio, a substantially deeper groove runs about 8ft down my slab.I had came to accept all of these things over time. But now, a year later, seeing these same blotchy dark areas come back to the surface, looking at the cracks in the patio, and after a week of waiting for Travis to text me back when I asked what can be done about the blotchy dark spots, I can't help but feel like once the job was done I was left with no guarantee on quality lasting work. It should not look in this rough of shape, with all these issues, after one year.Majorly disappointed in this company at this point.
Travis is amazing to work with and does quality work! I highly recommend him for any type of residential or light industrial concrete work you have. He has a passion for his work and always aims to please his customers. He works from the Willamette River east into the Cascade mountains. Highly skilled contractor!
I called and spoke to Travis on a Tuesday. He said he would come out on Wednesday to give me an estimate. I never saw him or heard from him so I called Wednesday afternoon. They were already closed for the day so I sent an email asking if he was still planning to come out and give me an estimate. I also included my phone number in the email. Two full business days later, and still no response from anyone. It’s very rude to ignore customers and if this is how they do business, I will never contact them for anything ever again. Very disappointed.
Eastside helped us tear out an old buckling sidewalk (and tree stump) and put in new sidewalk and a walkway up to our front door in Troutdale. They were friendly, professional, quick, and did an excellent job. They cleaned up the area every day after leaving and when the job was all done they even washed off the sidewalks and roads around the work area. Their communication was really good as well, and we knew what was going on at every set in the process. Incredible work. Highly recommend Eastside for any concrete needs.
If anyone is looking to have a concrete patio done, I highly recommend Eastside concrete and remodeling(ECR) The owner, Travis Baird was amazing, from start to finish he treated my husband and I with not only respect but also compassion, the communication between us and Travis was 100% flawless. His crew was also amazing, treating our property as it was their own, keeping things clean ever step of the way. Travis totally got inside my head when I said "I did not want just a plain patio slab done". He saw my vision and did a remarkable job bringing it to life. This is a 18ishx40ish beautifully poured gorgeous concrete patio outdoor living space. I simply cannot wait to use his remodeling services later this winter. THANK YOU Travis and ECR for making this so stress free. You guys are amazing.
