Working with Chris Allen at Sanderson Concrete deserves a 5+ star rating. Job was small and on Vancouver Island requiring 4 precast 6' stair treads that were only available from Sanderson Concrete in Vancouver - no precast manufacturers carried them on Vancouver Island. Chris worked with me to make sure I had the right connection details, said he was coming over to Vancouver Island, and offered to drop them off free of charge late night on the Thanksgiving weekend. In my experience, many suppliers or contractors don't even return your phone calls these days. 5 stars plus for somebody that returned my calls, answered all my questions , sent me detailed schematics for installation, insured my payment went through, and then drove out of his way to deliver and unload 4 steps that weigh 300 lbs. each in his own truck. I didn't know customer service like that still existed
I had the pleasure to be dealing with Chris at Sanderson Concrete. It was great! Even though my job was so small he ran me through the options and what we decided on, turned out fantastic! I don't have a pic at this point but after it dries and gets wiped down I will see if I can add it. So impressed with Chris' attitude and easy going manner. Made me feel completely at ease and his work is the reward!
We've used Sanderson Concrete on numerous occasions. The service has always been excellent and the finished products look great.In 2011 we used Sanderson Concrete to install Bollards outside the doors of our business and 10 years later they look just as good as they did on day 1!
In June 2016 I purchased 7 concrete stairs and had them installed using my own contractor. About a month later I noticed something was not right with them, the broom effect was wearing off. Finally, 18 months later on February 1st 2018 I contacted Sanderson and I emailed photos of the stairs to Sandra the receptionist. Within minutes I received a reply back from Jamie and he told me that they would recast new stairs for me and that he would send a crew out to take the old stairs off the stringers and re-install new ones. To hear Jamie accept responsibility was just such a relief for me because I usually have to fight for everything. On February 10th (ten days later) 2 young men arrived to install the new stairs. They were punctual and very professional. They explained what they had to do and what could go wrong which was while trying to pry the stairs from the wood stringers it could cause the wood to crack. The job went perfectly and my new stairs were installed. I cannot commend this company enough. They accepted responsibility immediately and stand by their product. Thank you Jamie at Sanderson Concrete for making this happen and making a customer very happy.
We recently replaced an older partially sunken hot tub and were looking for a company to do a custom coping. We had chosen some nice stonework for the surround and wanted to make sure we had a nice coping to finish it off.Several stonework companies that we had contacted recommended that we call Sanderson Concrete. Our first impression when we spoke with Jan was one of knowledge, workability, and confidence. We found he was very easy to talk to, and that he understood our need for a “perfect piece of workmanship”. He worked studiously with us on the design, pointing out cost saving ideas along the way and even making a site visit. We felt, although our job was a relatively small for them, they treated it in every way you would expect they would treat a large project.In the end, Jan made another trip out to ensure we were happy with the work they had done and inspect the final job. We cannot express just how easy and nice it was to deal with Sanderson Concrete. We would not hesitate to recommend them or use them again.
