I came to an agreement with Juan at JCU to pour some concrete at my house. He told me ahead of time that he was 2 months behind, to which I was fine with.A few weeks in he contacts me and says that his brother at Zion Hotshot Services (concrete contractor) can fit me in beforehand. JCU reassured me that the work would be the same and that he stood behind it 100%.Unfortunately, I had a horrible experience with Zion Hotshot, photos attached. Cracks formed within 24 hrs, puddles form on the concrete, and there’s missing concrete along some edges. Overall, the work was very sloppy.After going back and forth for a few days (and acknowledging the flaws), they (Juan from JCU and Juan from Zion Hotshot) agreed to meet at my house so we could find a solution. After arriving, they stated that they were only here to “collect”, accused me of being “racist” (I, too, am Hispanic), and accused me of not wanting to pay. Also, he essentially said I got what I paid for. After all was said, they agreed to fix the issue. I reached out the next day to schedule the redo and as of today, I still have not received a response.I’m usually not the type of guy to leave reviews but this was a horrible experience. I not once threatened/intimated them, I just wanted the issues fixed. Very unprofessional.

We needed a slab poured to extend our patio. I called Juan and he came out that afternoon to give me an estimate. He and his brother poured the slab the next day. We are very happy with the job they did. The extension turned out great. They were reasonably priced, personable, professional and showed up on time (which is a rarity these days). We will definitely use them for future projects and would recommend them to anyone needing concrete work.
