Great group of guys, love the result of my new patio
Our 47-year-old Richmond home needed a new driveway. Some of the cracks of this original driveway were at least an inch wide. After looking at few contractors, we felt very comfortable with having Bryan from Peak Concrete Design handle the job. Initially, we had planned to have the whole driveway in an exposed aggregate finish but just before work was to start, Bryan convinced us that putting in a stamped concrete border on the sides as well as in the front entry area would greatly elevate the esthetics.Once the weather cooperated, work began and moved quickly with a very large crew under the direction of both Bryan and Roger, his very meticulous and experienced site foreman. The first step was the demolition of the old driveway as well as preparation of the foundation for the new. Our research had shown that adequate preparation with a sand and gravel base as well as reinforcement of the concrete with steel were essential for the soft ground on which the driveway was to be built. All of this was done and more. Attention to important details such as ensuring even concrete depth as well as having the adequate slope to ensure proper water runoff were not overlooked. The crew was very courteous and work was done very professionally. There was also a daily cleanup of the site. The driveway has now been completed for about 7 weeks. We still get compliments from neighbours as well as people just out for a walk, telling us how beautiful the driveway looks. We even get the occasional tradesman stopping to admire the quality of the workmanship. Bryan was absolutely right about how striking the appearance of the exposed aggregate is when standing against the stamped concrete borders. Bryan and his crew built us a beautiful driveway and gave us good value for what we paid. I would highly recommend without hesitation, Peak Concrete Design for any job that you may have for them.
