Curtis Neeld on Mr. Electric of Frisco

Pretty disappointed with my experience with Mr. Electric of Frisco. The technician arrived and I clearly explained the scope of the job: remove existing kitchen lights and ultimately replace them with new receptacles and place wiring where the new lights would go in. We discussed this in detail before any work started.

I was then quoted almost $400, which I understood to be for the work we discussed. The technician removed the lights and then abruptly stopped, stating that the rest of the work would require another service call and another quote for installing the new receptacles and wiring. This was never clearly articulated upfront and felt very misleading.

Being told after the fact that the quoted price only covered removal and that I now needed to schedule another visit, is unacceptable. On top of that, the pricing feels absurdly inflated and comes across as a zip-code upcharge rather than a fair reflection of the work performed.

A big piece of this is that I DIY a great deal which the technician and I discussed. This is important because I would have taken the lighting down and had him do the rewiring saving at least 400 dollars. As it stands the work is done, costing me about 50 dollars in parts and maybe 2-3 hours of my time.

I would have turned this review around when the call center manager reached out about things, but upon missing a call the second day I have been completely ghosted by the company. All numbers I attempt are “not in service” when I call.

Poor communication, unclear quoting, and an unreasonable cost for what amounted to partial work. I would not recommend them.

Edit 2/10: responding to response comment: all phone numbers including the one you just left here state “the line you’re trying to reach is not inservice” and hangs up on me. Yall reach out to me again for the review to change.

EDITED 1/16 TO ADD REPLY TO YOUR REPLY:
We are open to resolution but we will not be settling or downgrading our home due to your mistake. The photos attached have nothing to do with the existing crack in the backsplash. The damage you did is in completely different areas because your tech used a granite tool on quartzite stone. So the entire backsplash has to be replaced as it is ONE SOLID SLAB of stone. The quote we gave is because we have to buy an ENTIRE NEW SLAB in order to preserve the integrity & value of the home. NOT included in this review is also evidence that during the installation process your tech not only destroyed the backsplash but also scratched the top of the counters. Which also has to be fixed. We are not decreasing the value of OUR home for YOUR mistake. We have been civil this entire time. We even paid for the service at the time of service as a good faith gesture that this would be resolved. We spent a month being told you would pay for this and then when it is time for us to repair it you are going back on your word. We have engaged our attorney at this time and he will be reaching out soon.

ORIGINAL REVIEW:
Truly cannot believe the liars that these people are. Their electrician used a granite tool to drill holes on our Quartzite counter tops. So you can imagine how that went. CRACKED and left holes all through the back splash. Didn’t stop at the first plug. Kept going WITHOUT telling my husband who was home and available. Worked with them for several weeks and they promised they would pay for it as it is an open and shut case. Now after weeks of them telling us they would pay for it they are refusing. Saying they can come patch it. HOW CAN YOU PATCH NATURAL STONE LEATHERED COUNTERTOPS. They are cracked, scratched and ruined. The GM was extremely rude and hung up on my husband once he said we would be filing with the BBB and contacting our lawyer. It is extremely unprofessional to tell us it’s an open and shut case & that you will pay to fix it then take that back and say you will not. Our lawyer has been contacted. DO NOT USE THEM.

Matt Barber on Mr. Electric of Frisco

The most disgusting behavior I have ever seen. Their electrician drilled holes of 2 inches or more in our new quartzite countertops. There was a hairline separation from settling that needed filler. Because of that hairline, and the insane belief they can fix massive gaps and holes and scratches in a leathered natural rock (insane) they will not be paying the invoice to replace the back splash they destroyed. A full month after telling us that they were of course going to pay. We are moving forward with a BBB complaint and potential litigation. Do not trust these folks.

I’ve added photos of how these people destroyed our backsplash. This is what they believe they can “patch” with holes and fill missing pieces and scratches in natural rock. This will lose value in the home. And that hairline settling “crack” they mentioned? Why would you keep going making these absolute destroyed holes all over multiple back splash locations if you thought that hairline crack is the same? Also. No electrician would ever drill into natural rock, but your guy thought it was granite, made these holes, and KEPT GOING. There is no way to patch this type of destruction and you know that. We have to get a new slab in order to
Fix what you did compared to the hairline setting in. Look at these photos and tell me how you believe this can be patched. There is damage not mentioned.. I can’t even take a visible picture of the hairline we had which is very repairable. We need new slabs because of the hack saw your employee took to our backsplash. This will lose valuation in the home and is utterly irresponsible. I hope everyone sees these photos and this reply before working with these folks. Our attorney has stepped in and will be coming for legal fees as well. BBB has been notified, and shocking, your company is not even a BBB certified company. Defend theses photos so consumers can see exactly who they are trusting in their home.

Patrick Quin Harris on Mr. Electric of Frisco

Brodie & his assistant were very friendly and professional. They did an excellent job in hanging my really high chandeliers

I recently hired Patrick for a series of electrical repairs in my home, and I couldn’t be more impressed with the quality of his work. He arrived on time, quickly assessed the issues, and explained everything in a way that was clear and professional. His workmanship was excellent—clean, safe, and done right the first time.

What stood out most was his attention to detail and respect for my home. He made sure everything was properly tested before leaving and even took the time to walk me through what was repaired and why. It’s rare to find someone who combines technical skill with great customer service, but Patrick does exactly that.

I highly recommend him to anyone in need of reliable, knowledgeable, and honest electrical work. I will definitely call him again for future projects.
