Amp Electric

Shannon and Kevin installed a generator transfer switch and inlet box at my home. They provided professional and courteous service, explained the process for the installation and offered instructions on how to use the equipment effectively and safely. Thank you Amp Electric.

When I called to schedule my appointment, I was greeted with a friendly and personable individual who did not act like me calling was an inconvenience in the slightest (like most people act on the phone these days). They got me in quickly and Greg and Miguel came over as two exterior outlets were not working. They were incredibly respectful, professional, and personable. I felt 100% comfortable leaving all the doors open and letting them move about the house and garage and backyard as they pleased. They identified the problem quickly, but also went out of their way to check extra plugs for me just to be certain (even though it was freezing cold outside). They both worked very efficiently but did not sacrifice their quality of work with their speed. When they were finished (which didn't take very long at all) I was absolutely floored with how reasonable the pricing was. It was very nice to not feel taken advantage of on pricing just because my husband wasn't home and I still can't believe the efficiency and quality of services they provided for such a reasonable price. That being said - I'm sure pricing varies depending on the issue so don't be a Karen and flip out if you have to get your whole house re-wired and actually have to pay for the amount of work some things take. Regardless - we all know of the companies who would have taken their sweet time and charged me extra just for my obvious lack of knowledge and this was certainly not Amp's MO. Can't recommend enough!!!!

Had someone out to replace a bad breaker. They came out that day, spent an hour attempting to pull the breaker out and only succeeded in breaking the switch off the breaker. Advised me to replace the whole box, charged me $100, and said they’d be in touch. I never heard from them again. Basically, I paid $100 for them to make the situation worse. I actually don’t know what the plan was; he was trying to pull the breaker out by the switch, with a pair of pliers, but the power to the house was still on. It took someone else less than five minutes to swap it out (after LP&L turned the power off at the pole.)

Our electricity went out in half the house. The hall with the AC and refrigerator After 5. On a Friday. On a three day weekend. Amp had techs (Rudy and Mario) out within 2 hours. It was fixed within 4. I didn’t need a second mortgage either! Great company and the guys couldn’t have been nicer!
