Great guy Tristan helped me out in so many ways in life journeys in code compliant work and helping me out when I needed help on finances, tools, etc. He takes electrical very serious and he’s the most punctual person I’ve ever met, he even helped me with wanting to be on time with everything I do. He’s a precise and sharp electrician who pulls permits on everything to ensure everyone’s liability… he’s a good friend as much as he is a good electrician …. Just know when you use him for an electrical job you will always get a fair price and a punctual electrician who actually does what they say they’re going to do! If there was 10 stars I’d give it to him… Hope all is well my friend call me anytime .
Had an issue where my disconnect switch in my attic attached to my furnace in the middle of the night melted and almost caught fire! AMI were the only company I called that was able to get someone to my house within 2 hours and didn’t charge a fee for emergency! A success story from a Next Door and Google recommendations.I recently looked on Next Door for electrician recommendations for my daughter and saw a nice write up for AMI Electric out of Newport News. My daughter had a free inspection as part of her service contract with Kellam Mechanical. After the inspection, the technician provided a laundry list of recommendations coming to $4800. I looked at the recommendations and saw that they quoted $1185 to install 5 GFCIs and to correct improper wiring (reversed polarity) in their kitchen island. I messaged AMI in the evening and surprisingly received a response from the owner within 15 minutes with an estimate of $500. I agreed and the appointment was made for next day and everything was completed. The techinian, Chris S., arrived a few minutes early and reviewed the work and locations with me prior to starting. After he installed the new outlets and corrected the wiring he showed me the test results at each outlet using a plug in tool which indicated proper wiring. I enjoyed meeting Chris and will seek his assistance again when needed. My daughter enjoyed the $685 savings and the fast appointment that was available.Afterwards I contacted AMI for estimates for the additional work needed and received another estimate that was significantly lower than Kellam’s.Highly recommend that you contact AMI for any electrical needs. Prompt and clear communications for appointments, estimates, and during the job.
I am in complete awe over the service that I received from Tristan. I obtained his information fron Angi's list, along with the names of two other companies. Full transparency, they all had a 4.9 rating but Tristan went above and beyond to listen to my issues, provide a solution and allowed me time to absorb what he was telling me. Once I selected him he was prompt with a 6am start time and worked diligently until the end, making sure that all of the issues were resolved before leaving. He truly knows his craft and I would recommend him to anyone needing electrical work.
