Overall I’m happy with our carpet, but there were some major mishaps that led to this 3 star review. My initial visit with the owner/sales guy was great. We had a tight timeline & had to use whatever they had in stock—luckily what they had worked for my home & budget. The installers did an OK job. I do not like how they did some of the room transitions. For example: the kitchen (linoleum) to living room (carpet) transition has a very hard, thick piece of metal running under the carpet and our feet often get bumped when stepping on it. I called 4 times after the installation to ask for someone to come out and fix it, each time they said they’d send someone but no one ever came. The installers also weren’t able to vacuum before they left, so I had to do that part as well as trimming up all the stray carpet strings. Bit of a workout! The most egregious mistake was covering the heating vent in one of the bedrooms. The install was in summer, right before we moved in, when fall came & it was time to turn on the heater … we couldn’t find the vent in this room. What a mystery! It wasn’t until my dad, who’s a contractor, came by & helped us discover the hidden vent. We cut the carpet and fixed everything up. But, what an insane mistake to make!
Don used his many years of experience in flooring as well as awesome ingenuity to resolve a unique issue with a portion of laminate floor that Carpet Source installed for me over 10 years ago. That's what I call a fantastic warranty! Perhaps their new motto could be,"We've got you covered.... Not only carpet, but laminate , vinyl, etc... with a REAL warranty!"They are my 'go to guys' when it comes to floor covering. The convenience of having many choices of different kinds floor coverings come to your home where samples can be viewed in your home. Where light can change colors with the time of day affecting the ambiance of a room. With the help of experts your choice can be made confidently.
It’s a rare occurrence in this day and age to have an experience with a company from start to finish that is nothing less than excellent.I didn’t have to drive around visiting different flooring places because I told Don I wanted luxury vinyl and he brought samples to my house. I selected Honey Oak for my 1950’s home and Don agreed it was a great choice.Andrew and Martin were the installers and you’d be hard pressed to find anyone better or harder working as they were. Andrew called me to let me know when they would arrive at my home to start the job. He was professional, polite and well spoken. Once they arrived Monday morning 7:45 AM they worked hard , efficiently and did an excellent job. I greatly appreciated the fact they were trustworthy and respectful of my property. My floors couldn’t have been more perfect if they’d been in a new home.Thank you DonThank you Andrew and MartinIt was a pleasure doing business with you all.I’m including pictures of the process and a short video of the finished floor.
This is a very mixed review.Carpet source is very professional when it comes to sales and I appreciate the fact that they respond directly to customer complaints.Picking out carpet and laminate with Dillon was a great experience. He went over all the options, explained the process and everything was great. Then comes the install. . .In the pictures that I've shared you can see that from a distance, the carpet looks great. The product is good, but the install could've been much better. I live in an older mobile home and it's understandable that the old carpet was a pain to deal with. That being said, when the install was finished, I noticed that many of the cuts on the carpet were not very clean, uneven, and there were scuffs left on the wall from the installer pounding the carpet into the corners with a small hatchet. There was also a small part of moulding on the wall that was chipped off after the install. Aside from the install itself, I had to do a good amount of cleaning after the installers left my home. I hade to pick up excess material and trim strings all around the carpet with scissors. I also noticed that one of the installers smoked during his break (which I don't mind outside) but left cigarette butts in my yard. While the old carpet was hauled away, there were pieces of foam and debris left on my floor which I had to clean afterwards. All in all, it's a competitive price for flooring, but installation was the rough part and I wish that it was a better experience.
Carpet source just completed replacing tile and carpet in my home with luxury vinyl plank flooring and installed new baseboards. it took a while to get the product in (not their fault, everything is on backorder), but through the process, they were great at communicating and rescheduling. Epie and Dillion were easy to work with. very accommodating and knowledgeable. and Andrew and his crew did an amazing job on the install. very professional, on time and really exceptional at their craft. I would highly recommend carpet source and we will be calling them again when it's time to update the bedrooms! thank you!
