I came in here to compare them with HD and Lowes. It didn't take long to look around. Curt gave me some recommendations based on what I was doing. Then I scheduled Smitty to come out and measure. They are both good people and know their business. I quickly received the estimate and it was so close to the HD estimate that I decided to go with Direct Flooring. I was able to schedule the install for a lot sooner than I would have if I went to the other place. It would have been at least a month before HD would get the carpet in stock, then they could schedule the install. If the installers do as good a job as Smitty and Curt, I will upgrade this to 5 stars. I highly recommend.
Great experience! Curt is incredibly helpful offering many options at different price points. Eric was a terrific installer! Couldn't be happier! THANK YOU, we'll be back!
I recently purchased carpet for 4 rooms in my home and hardwood for 1 room. Mark helped my wife and I pick out the carpet and the hardwood and we are very happy with both. The installers he recommended were excellent and we're super happy with the results. I'm super happy with Direct Flooring. I highly recommend them for your flooring needs.
We are so impressed with the exceptional customer service, great installation and attention to detail and literally seamless carpeting install that Direct Flooring assisted us with! Loved working with Curt and our carpet installer Eric. So professional and reliable all the way through. With ALL the carpet choices, Curt ordered samples and recommended the actual selection we choose, and we couldn't be more pleased. It's gorgeous! THANK YOU Curt and Eric! - They know their business like no one else! Great value and the highest quality product and workmanship!
Worse customer service ever!!! Got this carpet installed in my new home over 6 months ago. I immediately reported sharp metal things stabbing me when I stepped barefoot on each step. My efforts to get this resolved were ignored for months until the contractor responsible for my project contacted his contact at DF following a mediation with the CCB regarding multiple unresolved issues including the carpet. This got their attention and the DF representative finally contacted me and directed me to put tape on the sharp areas for better understanding.I did this and sent the pictures w blue tape on every step along the backside of step. He replied that those were normal and in fact tack strips used to install and sometimes they poke through some thinner carpets. He explained my options were to buy new thicker carpet, have their installer hammer them down explaining this reduces life of carpet and it can become loose over time and trip people, or I can try not to step on the sharp parts. He admitted the options weren’t great and agreed to have installer contact me to see what he could do. I’ve since contacted DF 3 times and haven’t heard from the installer or direct flooring to resolve the issue. In the mean time my guest and I are getting painful puncture wounds on our feet from my stairs with brand new carpet. I would’ve been happy to buy different carpet if id known this would happen. This carpet was recommended to me by this same representative, I had no budget restrictions since it was such a small space and I told him I wanted something soft to the touch, durable and easy to clean. I like the carpet. The worst thing about the current situation is that this problem might be fixable or an issue with the installation and that Direct Flooring isn’t doing anything to help resolve the issue. So make sure to asks about this if ever purchasing carpet for stairs! I will not do any business with Direct Flooring again due to the horrible customer service.Update: the installer came back twice to hammer down the sharp nails. After writing the review I received a call from Direct Flooring customer service rep wanting to make sure I was satisfied with service and arranged for the installer to come out today 10/24/21.
