I shopped for an economical bathroom tile and was helped by Emily. She seemed quite new and an associate brought out a tile she thought might work. Together they quoted a price, Emily wrote it down, and gave me her card. I called to tell her how many tiles I wanted, and she said she would work on the proposal. Later she called and said the price was 1/3 more than the quoted price and was very sorry ..she was fairly new. I reminded her that she and her female associate were aware of the quoted price and all three of us agreed it was a good price. I said I was very disappointed. She replied that she had felt bad about calling but “now that she heard my response she didn’t feel so bad any more”. I think they pulled a “Bait and Switch” on me. Good business requires standing behind quotes given, not chastising a disappointed customer who won’t agree to their higher price. I never write reviews but felt it necessary to do so after this shoddy behavior.

We purchased an Onyx Shower from them and were very disappointed. They ordered the panels the wrong size twice and our carpenters had to piece the shower together from leftover pieces. When we tried to get them to reimburse us, they used every possible excuse to avoid giving us any reimbursement. They were not easy to deal with and I would not recommend this business.

We had all of our main level flooring done. Sara was really great to work with to find the flooring we wanted. Then we worked with Dave to coordinate the install. Once all the flooring was down, we noticed seem lines appeared under our sheet vinyl. Dave was very responsive to my calls and texts and mitigated the situation quickly and professionally. Our final results are pristine! The paint department is awesome too, we get all our paint there. We will be back.

Huge selection of merchandise. Staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. We bounced around a little from one person to the next but finally landed with Jordan. Very easy to work with and really helped with the colors and designs! I have no idea what I'm doing when it comes to flooring etc, Jordan was very patient and made me feel confident that I made the right selections. Also purchased our paint and stain here. Staff on the paint side was excellent and helpful too!!

The paint department at House of color is fantastic. I've enjoyed working with each member of their staff. Respectful, helpful, and courteous.

Their pricepoint for sundry painting supplies is the best I've found in Bismarck. Also, best priced sanding supplies, and wide variety of paint, stain, and primer.
