Chuma Agubuzo is a con-man. He failed to meet quality, schedule, and pricing goals. He constantly asked for more money, was always late, and never organized labor before the arrival of labor. He took my money, asked for more money, then left for weeks. When he finally returned, he did not finish the project. Now his labor is calling me telling me that Chuma did not pay them and pleading that I pay them. This was a terrible experience.

Jon and Shelly Blankman have been absolutely thrilled with Chuma from Merchant Floors. He is the reason we chose Merchant Floors above all other businesses for our flooring and painting. He has been extremely pleasant, spending the time with us to discuss options, offering advice and giving us a fair price. He has been accessible for frequent questions, responding to or returning our phone calls immediately. We have worked with several contractors in the past, but have never worked with anyone so invested In our concerns. In addition to his fair pricing, the people whom he sent to do the work were excellent. He has followed up to make certain that we were happy with the work, which we definitely were. We would do business again with Chuma in a heartbeat because of the pleasant and professional experience with him and the workers he sent. (We named them specifically in a separate survey that we were sent.) They even helped to do some minor repairs needed around the house!

Extremely professional very detailed. I was very pleased! I scheduled to have my carpet installed within two days they were on time and they arrived at my house prepared and also wore mask the entire time, everyone was very professional and my floors look amazing! I would highly recommend this company! Chuma was amazing and very engaged throughout the entire process.thank you!

I very much regret using this company for reglazing my bathtub and replacing some tile along with redoing the grout.
My first contact was Chuma Agubuzo, a smooth talking salesman who assured me that the job would be superb.
I endet up with a bathtub that was painted, instead of sprayed, which left the finish uneven and on some parts even rough like coarse sand paper
Mildew is showing up again in the grout and the tiles don’t match (something he should have pointed out beforehand). The not matching tile in the color tone I can deal with, but the rough spots and dings in the finish, I have a problem with.
I showed Mr. Agubuzo the problems and he agreed to have it fixed. I have called several times and emailed. He kept stalling
and now doesn’t call at all with a date for the work to be fixed.
Now, over three months later, I have given up.
Thinking about legal action.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Never deal with this merchant! The horizontal lines connecting to the bull nose was off by more than 1/4" and not flat.

Called Chuma Agubuzo, "Sales Manager" to inform him of the poor installation. Mr Agubuzo claim there was not enough bull nose tile and the wall was not flat and that he only charged $$$. (excuse 1)If this was the case, he should have informed us prior to starting the job. I requested for him to come the next day to look at the terrible work that was done and he said he was too busy but maybe sometime next week.(excuse 2) I requested the date when he could come out , he would not give me one . ( excuse 3)Then he said he would not come out until I had extra bull nose tile.(excuse 4) I said I will have it here tomorrow, then Mr. Agubuzo said it will be an extra charge to come out. (excuse 5) I question Mr Agubuzo why should there be an extra charge for correcting the poor installation, he said there just is. (excuse 6)

NEVER NEVER USE THIS COMPANY, AS THEY DO NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR WORK!
