My father used to take me here when it was called Continental. This place is one of the only remaining places you can walk in and get decent carpet supplies now. It is not close by to anything. I have to take hours out of my day if I'm going to make a trip here. Gas isn't cheap either. It's a hassle to go here. Whatever. That's not why I'm upset.I dropped my broken Duo-Fast electric staple guns off here to get fixed. Four guns total needed fixed. I told them in detail the problems with the guns that needed addressed.I was notified when they were ready for pickup. I did not hurry to get them back. I waited over two weeks. On the day I was going to pick them up, I made a stop at the shop I work for. My staple guns were there on the table at the shop for some reason. It was a strange, but welcome surprise. Someone at the shop heard me saying my guns were at All-Floors and they took it upon themselves to get them. They paid for the repairs as well. It was only a hundred bucks or so, give or take. Cheaper than buying a new Duo-Fast. I repaid the shop by giving them one of the four newly fixed guns. All Floors released my property and did not inform me. They didn't even ask. It saved me a trip, I guess, but I almost drove out to get the guns. If I hadn't seen my property on that table, I would've driven all the way to All Floors for no reason because nobody told me the guns were released. Neither did the shop I work for. I was left in the dark on that one. It was just a strange coincidence that I saw them for myself on the stop before the trip to All Floors. One gun had a problem with the trigger after a year and a half of regular use. That's pretty normal and it's no big deal because I have the spares that I haven't touched.Upon using a spare, there was a realization that it doesn't work. The same problem that it had before I took it in for repairs was still persisting. It was NOT FIXED. STAPLES ARE FALLING OUT OF THE GUN. A SPRING WAS STUFFED INSIDE THE CLIP AND ATTACHED TO NOTHING. See photos.I stuffed the spring in the clip myself when I explained to the clerk in detail what the problems with the guns were. It hadn't been disturbed since I shoved it in there.I called to talk to someone about it and he was polite. He said to bring it in and they would fix it. Great. Now I have to spend an entire day driving here and waste my gas? I don't have the time. I don't have a car to drive. My van is a gas hog with 332,000 miles on it. I hate driving it on long trips.Edit:My brother and I fixed my staple guns with minimal effort and inexpensive spare parts that I purchased at All Floors in 2015. I keep the parts in a crate. You can buy the Duo-Fast parts at All Floors for cheap, sometimes for under a dollar. It took under an hour to reattach the spring in the photo and open up the other gun to swap the electronic trigger component. Both guns work again with a little patience, focus and a two-dollar part that I had in a crate for seven years.I don't like to use the "antique," which is what I call the oldest gun that All Floors fixed. It's probably the original Duo Fast design because it looks slightly goofy. The design has a few differences from the modern Duo-Fasts, but has basically the same guts as the ones today. Same gun, cosmetic variant. Super old. They fixed it. It works fine. Good job on that one. It went back to sitting in my closet again. I took comparison photos for kicks. There are not many Google photos in existence of this original Duo-Fast Tacker design.
