I hope this review, saves you the money and time that I wasted hiring this company to install new flooring, in my 1000 sq ft condo.

What I initially thought was going to be a nice installation turned out to be an improper installation.

The floors from the entry of my home run in a straight line thru my dining area in to my living area, with two steps separating the areas.

These supposed "specialists" decided to install the flooring on the lower living area first, not taking into account the upper area.

After laying the upper area towards the end of the job, the lower and upper area planks are not parallel.

That is to say, while standing on the upper area and following the floor boards with your eye, as soon as you view the lower area, its clear that the boards run off to the right, instead of continuing straight.

When I brought this up to the owner, Jessie, he was immediately defensive on the phone and said its an optical illusion.

To me, it was very clear the planks are not running in the same direction, but to be sure I purchased a laser level and unfortunately it confirmed what I suspected.

Jessie asked to meet onsite with his installer foreman.
I agreed, hoping for a reasonable resolution.

After an hour of him going back and forth from "the floors are parallel" to "well, they are slightly off" he told me that if I want it fixed, I'll have to pay for it. All in a very defensive and abrasive manner.

When his foreman Jesus, chimed in and said "I will rip it out and pay for it myself, to be done right" He was immediately silenced by Jessie. Saying "NO! you don't speak for the company"

He then told me he was late for a kids baseball game and walked out my home.

Being a tradesperson that has made a living, working with my hands, serving hundreds of homeowners, I can not believe how terrible the service and customer relations are with this company.

Full transparency, I paid this company over $28,000
for a job that frankly looks terrible.

Since then, I've had 2 flooring contractors come out to get bids and to also get their opinions on whether or not this was a bad install and both contractors not only noticed the issue immediately but agreed that the company installed it wrong.

Both companies quoted around $5,000 to remove and replace the problem area, correctly.

There are too many skilled flooring contractors in the area,
to even waste your time and money with this company.

Do yourself a favor and steer clear of Hardwood Floor Specialists.

We had hardwood floors installed in our living room and at the top of our stairs. In addition to that we had hardwood stairs and baseboards installed as well. We can say without question that Jessie and his team of Doug, Al and Detmetri did an outstanding job. The stairs were very difficult because of the curvature of the stairway, but Doug -- truly a skilled craftsman -- did a beautiful job. It was a pleasure working with Jessie and him team, they are the consummate professionals. I would highly recommend Hardwood Floor Specialists.
