RUN!!!! I’ve been installing floors for 10 years now. Never came across a good product with this name on it. Stay away!!!! Pieces of different shades. Pieces in various widths causing gaps all over. And mostly small small pieces in length. They will blame on install or environmental factors, but since getting the product on site it’s an issue already. Their tongue and groove mitering really needs some adjustment. You have to use extreme force to close the boards to the point of damaging the top layer and finish on them.
Great Hardwood Flooring Quality.Very little waste and a top quality Finish.
We ordered approximately $60k in "A"/"B" grade flooring from Wickham for a home.in West Vancouver BC which took an eternity to reach us, contrary to the 5 weeks as promised.Upon arrival at our vendor, the floor was not boxed, but loosely wrapped, and stacked on a pallet. Once we had secured our crew to load the flooring from the vendor, we discovered Wickham had sent us "Cottage grade" which is the lowest grade available rather than what we had purchased. What ensued, and is ongoing, was a series of damage control promises that were not kept, all the while sending us long winded emails, (since the rep was no longer taking our calls), that they had our better interest in mind, and they were going to get this flooring to us immediately. As a result of their dropping the ball, they put our job schedule out by over 6 weeks since our trades were no longer available. The time of delivery for our flooring, which they claimed to be expedited, was now around ten days.We contacted UPS who could get the product to our doorstep in 3 days. Wickham talked a good game in claiming they were going to make this right, but instead, they chose to manage their cost despite their error. This will now likely put the homeowners out of their home for another two months.Unfortunately for Wicckham, we have sought out legal advice in order to recover damages, such as, but not limited to our trades being left scrambling for work as a result of the blocked off schedules.Everyone makes mistakes, what separates integrity and probity from dishonesty and deception in business is how one manages errors.
If all you want is to install hardwood in a small closet, then it's perfect.I Did not have enough to finish the job. Boxes and boxes of waste because a lot of the planks were essentially tiny little 3, 2, 1 ft. Just terrible. I had to separate the project and install tiles in the hallway.Avoid at all costs.
Bought their Mountain Home Collection hand scraped floor and just love it!!! We looked around at other brands and nothing compared to the real handmade quality of this floor. We've recommended them to other friends and they've been equally happy! Love the natural looking oil finish too.
