Purchased services from Kayby's 9 years ago and again very recently. Both times Kayby's provided truly excellent workmanship at a fair and reasonable cost. They were referred to me 9 years ago by someone familiar with home remodeling and I would pass on that referral to anyone.
I love KayBy's Carpet, they always do an amazing job! Always exceed my expectations and owners are super friendly, doing their best since day 1!?? percent reccomend, I always have them do our flooring, never find prices as good and top of the line work.
I had carpet installed in October 2021 with Kayby's. It was and has been an absolute horrible experience. The day the carpet was installed and right after the installers left, I noticed multiple small black oil like stains on the carpet. The next day the installers arrived to finish the job and I mentioned the stains. They of course denied any involvement and then proceeded to remove the stains with Wd 40. I now have multiple brown stains on my brand new carpet. I tried to contact Marcello and his daughter multiple times since October, to have this issue resolved. He was unresponsive, ignored my calls/texts and the few times he did respond he would say he would come and then would not show. In January he finally came to the house to look at the stains and tried to focus on another issue with the carpet (a discrepancy with the the color between the hall and my daughters room), hoping he could have the carpet suppliers paid for the entire carpet to be replaced. It has now been 6 months and I still have the stains. Such a disappointment dealing with Marcello and his business. I strongly discourage anyone from using Kayby's. I would give a zero star.
I had a pretty good experience using Kayby's Carpet for my home renovation. I used Marcelo and his crew about 3 years ago. We completely remodeled all our flooring from carpet to vinyl planks (rooms) and tiles (kitchen and restroom). The craftsmanship is good and the crew that arrived to do the work was very respectful. Although there were minor delays in getting the job wrapped up, I'm still giving him 5 stars because if you have ever done a construction job, guess what, delays happen. My experience with Marcelo was so good that a couple years later I hired him to renovate one of my bathrooms. I got rid of the tub and turn it into a tiled shower.
We were able to have new carpet put in middle of January. Thanks to the fundraiser drive group. Early March we noticed that the seams where separating. Contacted the carpet company and explained to them what was happening. The company owner came out and checked what was happening. He said that there where just some threads coming up. And did not think that there was a need to fix/repair seems. Early April company owner brought out a carpet inspector that stated the company had put residential padding under commercial carpet and without using the proper glue that the seams would separate and threads would be popping up. Carpet inspector recommended the company reglue the seams using a heavier glue and restretch the carpet. The company finally did schedule a day and time to fix/repair carpet in late April. The company owner did come by, but said he did not have the glue to fix/repair the carpet and would have to reschedule. As of this date the carpet has not been fixed/repaired. With each passing day the seams are spreading apart and more threads are popping up.
