My Mother is 90 years old, has a great house and decided to refinish to refinish the main areas of her hardwood floors. I had several worries; who would move her precious antique furniture, how well would the floors match, how the workers would treat my mom, how much would it cost etc.

After much research, I chose to go with Signature Carpet One, which was a great decision.

They were on time, did the work on schedule, moved the furniture with care, treated my mother with respect, provided a reasonable cost and matched the floor perfectly. Both of us are thrilled with the final result. I have been in the home construction field for about 35 years, and it turned out better than I could have hope for.

In short, this was a great decision/experience and I'll be working with John and Stephy for all my flooring needs.

This is the first time installing carpet so maybe this is just how carpet companies are run but I was disappointed with the experience. If you're just looking for cheap carpet when selling your empty home through an agent, this place is fine, but working with them personally was not great.
1) They have no respect for your time. They were late by at least half an hour for the first trip and an hour for the second one, which I get it that stuff happens but they do not try to contact you in any way (no phone call that they're on their way or that they are running behind). I also couldn't get a hold of anyone calling the store or emailing my rep for the second one. They also asked for available time windows and they didn't even select the window. I specifically offered one option after 2pm on a Saturday and they got back to me literally at 11am on Saturday telling me someone was showing up as 12pm. 1 hour notice and not even when I could make it.
2) The installation was mediocre. They said it was easily a 1-day job, but the installer was still hustling at 7:30pm, so of course he made mistakes. He asked if everything was good and within 5 seconds I found a nail sticking out on the stairs. They scheduled him again to fix all the plates and he left at least 4 nails lying around for my toddlers and dog to accidentally step on.
3) They charged me an additional $175 to move 2 beds, even if I pre-moved them out. Their claim was that it would take an hour to move 2 beds. When I called them out on it, they suggested asking me husband do it, which was rude given they don't know my family's situation. In reality it took about 30 seconds per bed to move - didn't even have time for me to whip out my phone to record it. Thank god it didn't actually take an hour because he would've been there till at least 8:30pm to finish the job if it had but in retrospect i should've just paid him in cash to move the beds and would've been a net win for both of us.
4) The sales people at the store weren't very motivated to sell me carpet. I even walked back to the front to ask about the designer carpet and no one bothered to help other than say I probably don't want those because I have kids and a dog, and it wasn't their "brand". Either they wrote me off as not able to afford it or they have no interest in selling carpet that's not their brand - either way, mildly annoying. I'm also very pregnant but they kept having me walk back and forth which was weird given that usually sales people hover over you.

Would've given 1 star but giving an extra star for the guy who did the measurement and used to be an installer who actually showed up on time and thoroughly answered my questions. Too bad he doesn't own his own carpet business as I'd trust him over everyone else at this store.

Also I found it hilarious that they were unable to contact me multiple times because they "typed the email address incorrectly", like when they were sending quotes and collecting payment. I was in the system correctly but I guess no one there is capable of copying and pasting email addresses?

I want to thank Kevin, Robin, John and the rest of the crew involved in the purchase and installation of our new flooring. I was pleasantly surprised by the expertise and great attention to detail all along the way. From measuring and estimating the project to purchasing and ordering the materials they were very thorough, kept me informed and showed great attention to detail. The installers did a wonderful job, kept everything clean and tidy as they worked, and again, showed great attention to detail. I feel like they went above and beyond. We’re very happy with the LVP flooring they installed throughout our home. I can definitely recommend Signature Carpet One and would use them again.

Such a big fan of these guys and the job they did. They restored our original 1907 hardwoods in our Russian Hill apartment to incredible beauty. John Shea was reliable, communicative, and timely. He gave us multiple options for the finish to fit our budget (we ultimately went with the best and are happy we did). He got the whole two-bedroom done with incredible skill in 5 days. We are incredibly pleased, had a tremendous experience, and would highly recommend.
