We are very happy with our entire experience at Wood’s Custom Floors & Design - the installation of beautiful luxury vinyl planks on our main floor. My parents had Woods put in hardwood floors on their steps and the 2nd story of their home. They really wanted to go with someone local instead of the larger chains like Lowes or Home Depot and for quality they should have. They were able to get the floors put in and that’s it, no finishing touches. It took them forever to come and no time to leave! They would tell them that they were coming back to do the finishing touches but never did. So they have this beautiful home with the second floor that looks undone. It really makes me sad because this was something my parents really wanted for their home and now they will have to invest even more money to fix what Woods should have just done right at first. These pictures are just a few out of many.
I thought going with this company would be better than home depot or Lows. I thought my floors would be better installed. The owners were very nice. When I first went in the guy was very nice and helped me pick out my flooring. I loved that. I scheduled my appointment to get it installed. They came out and laid down all the flooring but still had some unfinished molding to put down plus it looked very tacky. I also discovered my cat was missing due to the worker leaving our door open while working. I had lowered our air that morning so he would be nice and cool while working. Well from him leaving the door open our air conditioner needed up braking because it was continuously on trying to keep the house cool, but since the door was open it couldn’t cool it down resulting in a breaking. The guy said they will come back to do that. About a week later a guy did come back to finish. I had things to do in town so I left him to finish the job. When I came back home he didn’t finish. He still had around the fireplace to do. I kept calling and calling and kept saying we will get someone to come out. Now I got my floors 1st installed the end of May and it took just until last week which is October now to finish. The guys were very nice. The transition they put around our fireplace doesn’t match our other transitions. It’s a darker gray. I also was not educated on floating floors. I wish someone would of told me that it would be glued down and the floor would be noisy tans pop in certain places. If o would of know this I would of picked a different flooring. Our floor is loud and pops in certain areas you step in. I had existing wood floor I had them rip up to put the new flooring and it was not nosy or didn’t make any popping sounds. I will most likely go with a different company next time.
We used this establishment in 2016. The wife of the owner came to my residence to help pick out a specific flooring. Upon leaving, she hit my car door and handle. She told us she would pay for the damages out of pocket but when seeing the 1200 estimate she decided she wanted to go through insurance. We dropped off the estimate and never heard anything about it. She claimed she had no idea she hit my car but was very honest that she normally grabs her cellphone as soon as she gets in the car. We were very upset that she didn't hold to her word and not only that, but we never heard anything from them. Very poor experience. Would not recommend to anyone!
Purchased about 3000sqft of Luxury Vinyl Planks for our Photography Studio. It looks AMAZING. We've had DOZENS of compliments, and nobody can believe it's vinyl instead of wood... plus it's completely waterproof! After about a month of very heavy traffic... dragging photography sets and flash stands across the floor, there's not even the slightest sign of any scratches or wear. Pricing was great (the same or maybe cheaper than Memphis or Nashville. And the LOCAL service, delivery and flexibility was amazing. Thanks!
