Customer feedback is mixed. Some visitors highlight polite and helpful staff at the front desk and load-out, and note smooth experiences with assistance. Others report inconsistent product support at specific counters and frustration with returns or pricing clarity. Paint quality and stock condition are also mentioned in a few reviews.
Was at Leduc store on March 5 to purchase 70 feet of small size chain link. Asked employee for one link to take home to verify I was getting the right size. Was refused and told I had to buy one foot or nothing! So much for supporting local!
My experience at this store was amazing. The 4 people who helped me were all Polite Professional & Pleasant. I want to give a shout out to Simran & Austin at the front desk and Cole & Sam at the loadout. I sincerely wish you will be rewarded for your efforts.
Paint counter associate was less than helpful except to stand behind the desk- gave incomplete answers, and no insight on products. It wasn’t busy either, and my questions were simple ie. what paint brands do you carryAfter finding the brand I wanted myself, the sale tags were not up and I ended up buying a mid range paint for $15 more than the sale on the premium line.
5 gallon jug of sico expert paint. Old expired stock in my opinion. Full, and I mean full of chunks of hard dryed out paint. Only a few weeks old and never opened until today. Can't even strain it.Update. Returned the paint. Grilled about it being stored outside, which it was not, but they have to ask. They replaced the paint. So that was good. But all in all the quality of this paint is something to be desired. $200 for generic quality. Must be primed first or your going to have issues with chipping and pealing. Buy Valspar with primer and paint. Expensive $300 for 5 gallons but it sticks and durability is top notch.
Recently purchased a chainsaw from RONA Leduc, and unfortunately, the product was not working. Despite returning to the store within five days of purchase to explain the issue, I was met with blatant refusal and hostility to accept a return or provide an exchange. The store manager, Marcin, was especially dismissive. I explained that the chainsaw never functioned properly, and I expected RONA to honor its return policy, especially given the extremely short time since the purchase. Instead, I was told outright that they wouldn’t take it back. There was no attempt at resolution, no concern for customer satisfaction. What made this experience worse was the tone and attitude displayed by staff. I couldn’t help but feel that my ethnicity played a role in how I was treated. The interaction felt borderline discriminatory, which is not something any customer should have to experience at any place of business. This type of behavior is unacceptable and concerning. In addition, the staff were rude, unhelpful, and dismissive, clearly unwilling to stand behind the products they sell. Do not buy any mechanical or gas-powered tools from this location—you will be stuck with defective equipment and no support. If you value customer service, fair treatment, and functioning tools, I strongly suggest taking a short drive to Home Depot or another hardware store where you’ll likely receive far more respectful and reliable service.RONA Leduc has lost my business completely, and I do not recommend this location to anyone, especially if you expect basic decency or may be part of a visible minority. Very poor experience.
