UPDATE:We did continue to follow up with our issue as they replied to this review to do so. Here's the deal. They put us off so long to complete their bankruptcy and then said "sorry we have new owners and there is nothing we can do".We had a LIFETIME guarantee and there is nothing they can do. However, how strange is it that they have the same employees and just switched their name back to Lumber Liquidators instead of LL flooring. Such a joke. DO NOT GO HERE!!!I NEVER give negative reviews as I always believe that people/companies make mistakes and it's not fair to drag a name through the mud. HOWEVER, I have tried to play fair and be a good person and have been treated beyond poorly.DO NOT GO TO LL Flooring in Lincoln Nebraska. We built our house 2 years ago and after a year the main level flooring started to have issues. I contacted my contractor and he contacted LL Flooring. The Lincoln location forwarded him to the "corporate" office where they asked for pictures. I took pictures of several spots that are having issues. After months they company told our contractor that it is our fault these things are happening. Let me tell you. We spent a good amount of money to build a house that we saved up for years to make happen. We are empty nesters and my house is kept immaculate as I LOVE our floor plan and feel blessed to have this house. I would NEVER do anything to harm the floor and this is false. I have tried to talk to the people in Lincoln and they said it is out of their hands. I have tried to call the corporate office and they won't talk to me because I am not on their "file" our contractor is. My contractor just informed me that we are probably to the point of needing a lawyer. We were guaranteed LIFETIME GUARANTEE on all of our flooring. Our main floor hasn't even lasted 2 years and now I'm being told to get a lawyer if I really want to battle the lifetime guarantee. This is inexcusable and I am still in shock that NO ONE will talk to me or even make the trip to my house to see how bad it is.Many businesses make mistakes but they take pride in making it right for their customers. LL-Flooring of Lincoln IS NOT ONE OF THEM.I would give ZERO stars if I could.
Update regarding the reply from Lumber Liquidators 1/31/25: They're the same company, employees, building, and assets trying to escape customers with claims and their debtors which is essentially what a Chapter 11 is. LL Flooring was "Lumber Liquidator" prior (what do you think "LL" stands for?) and now they went back to the Lumber Liquidators name to be able to distance themselves from their customers with claims and any future liability. For a company that says "not affiliated in any way with LL Flooring", they sure did gain access to LL Flooring's Google Business Profile pretty easily.... As to my floor, it is worse now than ever and I'm completely out at this point of about $6,500. Check out a long term stable local company like CarpetLand or O Street.Original post -The company is in the middle of Chapter 11 and is no longer honoring warranty claims (from the mouths of LL Flooring Customer Care) so there is no reason to purchase flooring from them at this point. They use a 3rd party for install, RW Flooring, who have been to our house on 3 separate issues (totaling 6 days). There are still issues with the Duravana flooring AND installation (pretty sure new subfloor isn't glued or nailed down correctly). Customer Care at LL started well and then drug their feet and then closed my case saying I didn't reply to a phone call which isn't true according to my phone records. I've been the one calling them to keep things moving over the last few months. I did get an email from the bankruptcy court this weekend basically stating I had no claim and if I still think I do, I had to start over with a 3rd party managing the Chapter 11. Really feeling defeated and cheated at this point. I would recommend to anyone looking for flooring to go another route at this point. I'll follow the route for the claim but my hopes are low in these cases where the lawyers are trying to reduce the debts of the company so are motivated to find a way to NOT fix my floor.
Okay. Story time. Buckle up, it's a long one.Let's go back to 2021-2022. I picked out some awesome vinyl floor. Had it installed by the RUDEST and probably not qualified contractors they could find. The "boss" on the job actually stole my husband's sunglasses (he called me 3 days later and admitted he took them, offered to return them and I never heard from him again.)There are gaps between the floor and the wall. The quarter round they installed wasn't done correctly because it was pulling away from the wall THE NEXT DAY. My favourite part was we had a small divot in our cement layer. Instead of filling it like good contractors do, they laid the floor over it.Fast forward to today, 2024. That divot? Is obviously now a problem. Our floor is cracking and tearing over the divot. Because OF COURSE IT IS. I called to ask about starting a service request. We knew we were out of the install warranty, but not the floor warranty (it's lifetime supposedly.) I was ASSURED they would figure something out. This was the beginning of May 2024. It is now almost September.Mid June 2024 my case manager called me and said they can't get the contractors out to do the repair inspection because they're no longer contracted. That's not surprising given the shoddy work they do. However, that was quite literally the last time I heard from ANYONE. No emails. No phone calls. Radio silence. Until August 9th. I received a "We received your repair estimate!" email. What?Who did it? No one called me. Havnt spoken to a live person in months. So now they're falsifying records. That's coolI have been calling or emailing weekly at least since. Nothing. In the meantime the damage has spread because we can't not walk on our floors. We even have another crack forming in a completely different area! So now my case manager is dodging calls. Real professional that one.Don't buy from these people. They're only out to screw you over.Just a quick edit in response to the company's reply: Customer service is the issue people. You want to hear what happened when I called Customer service? My case manager didn't adhere to the promise of calling me back in 30 minutes. I called after 40. It went straight to voice mail. I called the regular customer service line. The nice gentlemen there tried to transfer me to my case manager. He answered and HUNG UP ON ME. I called back, he then stopped responding to other customer service reps. They told me they could not get ahold of him.Do NOT tell me to "call customer service and we'll get this fixed as soon as possible" because you CLEARLY didn't read my review. As quickly as possible appears to be MONTHS. If I could give less than 1 star I would.
The store has been very helpful, my review is based on the flooring material and corporate. We bought the LL Flooring owned Duravana. Buyer beware!!!! We got our flooring in February and by June it was chipping in the middle of planks and chunks coming off. I contacted the store and then the warranty process with corporate started. They tested our floors, with their own test not independent, and our floors conveniently barely met their standard, so no warranty covered. The extensive damage to duravana floor is their standard.Again the STORE itself has been helpful and help with getting us product to fix the the missing planks. Do not buy Duravana materials.Pictures of only a few of our damaged floors.Update: The bottled reply means nothing, when we have been told that the planks missing, that ll flooring required to be pulled up, are our problem by corporate. THEY DO NOT CARE, i have already received the we filed for chapter 11 email and have already told to pound sand. I have small children that I am concerned will be injured by as these duravana floors continue to chip.As far as quickly, our original concern conveniently took until they filed for chapter 11. There was an entire week that no one communicated with me from corporate until I received the email.Again the store has been decent enough but I have to find someone to fix the area that is missing planks. Calling the corporate number did nothing for us to fix the problem of these floors.
Flooring came damaged. 2 of the 7 boxes came without plastic covering and got ripped to shreds by the pallet fork causing damage to the wood planks. The same two boxes had no protective plastic between the wood planks making me think they were boxes returned from previous customers.
