We had an extremely disappointing experience with Tony. Eight or nine different times, he told us he would come to our house, but never showed up or even called. The only way to get him to follow through was to tell him we’d go with another company. What he said would take two days to complete turned into a two-plus-week ordeal. When he finally did come, he left our stairs not in compliance with the Lancaster County building code. He explained to me that this is what every contractor would have done. My stairs are now over an inch too narrow according to the building code. This has left an unsafe environment for my family every time they use the stairs. To make matters worse, when my wife reached out to him about the issue, he responded aggressively instead of taking responsibility. I reached out to Tony to get a refund so I can fix the massive problem he created, but he has chosen not to respond to my text. We would not recommend him to anyone.

Can't express enough gratitude for the extra effort and diligence they were willing to put in to finish the job to perfection. Our floors went from hopeless and mismatched to beyond spectacular in just a few short days. Thrilled out of our minds with the final product. Highly, highly recommend Modern Wood Floors!

When another local company left us hanging Tony came to our rescue. His price was fair but more importantly his workmanship was above our expectations. Our 16 year old floors look better than they did when we built the house. First company told us our floors could never be lighter than they were originally, they did not sand the floors flat like we agreed and when we discovered there was actually 2 species of wood in our living room their reply was "I don't know what to tell you, there is nothing I can do about it". Tony's response was the exact opposite. He and his crew got the floors ice rink smooth, we replaced the mismatched wood and the color is exactly what we wanted in the beginning. I feel truly lucky that we found Modern wood floors and was able to keep our project on track..

Tony is incredible. He took our old wood floors and restored them beautifully, even after a previous contractor had damaged them. He was very professional, kept things clean during and after his work, and went above and beyond to ensure we were happy. I didn't think our floors could look this good. I highly recommend him to anyone, particularly those with difficult floors. He really knows what he is doing!!!
