Staff are friendly enough but the installation of the carpet wasn’t good. The carpet was installed in May 2022 and it started buckling in my hallway. I called and they sent the same installer. Now it’s 2025 and the carpet is buckling in my hallway and a part of my living room area. I’m having my carpet cleaned today and concerned with more buckling. I called Rivera Carpet on Hyde Park and spoke with George who said it’s been over a year and there nothing they can do. He said they don’t stretch carpet, they only install. For that reason I don’t recommend. Beautiful carpet by Shaw but poorly installed

Illegally collected 100% of the contract before any work even started pursuant to California Code, Business and Professions Code - BPC 7159. On multiple occasions, we were told one thing only to find out we were misled. We were told that they would be sending 2 extra people, for 4 people total, to help move furniture that I did not want damaged. They sent two people and claimed it's the same thing. It is not.The ONLY employee who seems to know what's going on and doesn't jerk customers around is Ninive, and she's no longer at this location.Multiple times, they tried to overcharge us. One time, they were charging us to do carpet AND laminate in the SAME room. It took multiple calls to get them to remove the carpet charge for the room.I was willing to forgive some of the issues, like collecting 100% of the contract before starting work which isn't allowed under California law, but I don't like being lied to and will be filing a complaint with the Contractor's State Licensing Board.
The customer service outstanding, salesman was knowledgeable about the flooring product I selected and provided me with manufacturers warranty and terms.Salesman verified availability of the flooring materials.Additional, referred me to an experienced, efficient and reasonably price installer. Job completed in 3days total, order, install and completed.
