What customers say

Several customers praised their hardwood results, with other comments noting prompt, friendly staff, clear communication and advance scheduling. One customer reported that workers broke the lower oven glass during flooring work; months later, the door was still broken and follow-up had become difficult. Another customer described messy stain work and said the owner personally reached out to help address it.

The representative was very nice and professional. The workmen did a great job. In the process they broke the glass on my lower oven. That was in February. They have not been able to find a replacement for the glass, and now they are reluctant to stay in contact. That was in February. I still have a broken door in July.

We just had a great experience with Old World Floors. Our living room hardwood floor had to be torn out and replaced. This required two more adjoining rooms to be sanded and stained along with the living room. Old World was very efficient and stuck to their schedule, which was given to us well in advance (delivery date of wood, when new floor was to be installed, etc., ). Once the work began, I received a phone call each day regarding details for the following day's work. One of the managers, Craig, even came by to help me pick out a stain color for our kitchen, which was a separate project from above. I almost hated to put our furniture back because the floors were so beautiful. Old World did a terrific job!! Lisa T.

We had our 30 year old wood floors redone and they are lovely! I couldn’t be more pleased . It is a hassle moving out and we kept putting it of . Finally did it and I was amazed ! The staff was prompt and friendly - great communication when I had a question and concern . Almost embarrassed to show how bad our floors had gotten - they look amazing now . Thanks for going such a wonderful job! Would highly recommend !

Updating my review to say after several complaints, the owner has personally reached out and taken an interest in our job to help fix some messy stain work. It shows integrity and care when an owner comes personally to right a wrong, and promises to follow through with his employees.

We recently had a water leak and had to have our hardwood floors replaced. We chose Old World Floors to do the work and they did not disappoint. Our floors are even more beautiful than they were! The crew was easy to work with and quick to address any concerns we had. They installed a product we will be proud of for years to come. Thank you Old World Floors!!

Frequently Asked Questions

What should homeowners prepare before Old World Floors refinishes a floor?

The work area needs to be clear of furniture, and sanding machines need access to a 220-volt outlet. The company recommends removing fabric window treatments because stain and finish products used on most floors can damage fabrics.

How soon can customers walk on a floor refinished by Old World Floors?

With proper ventilation, floors are dry to walk on 8–24 hours after each polyurethane coat. Old World Floors recommends waiting 2–3 days after the final coat before resetting furniture.

Does Old World Floors move furniture during refinishing?

It is not equipped to move large pieces; it contracts with a moving service to remove and reset furnishings. For smaller jobs with less furniture, it can work with the homeowner to move items.
