I’ve purchased from this tile shop twice for two different projects, and I’ve had consistently positive experiences. While their prices may not always be the absolute lowest, I feel much more comfortable buying from a physical store. Their customer service is excellent, responsive and genuinely helpful throughout the process.
Our floor refinishing project was completed on December 13th. Our original floors were cherry and now they have been sanded down and stained with Provincial (a medium brown color). Our Provincial stained floors look amazing! We really appreciate the craftsmanship, expertise, and customer service that Tom and Jose provided in our home during our project. They kept us informed of their daily work schedule and the results have transformed our house. Julie McCaffrey was also instrumental in getting everything perfect for us. She thoroughly explained the entire process, accurately ordered everything we needed and helped us make all the key decisions to make our project go smoothly.We will certainly recommend the Great Western Flooring team for any future floor projects! I needed carpet with a quick turnaround, but I also wanted to take my time finding the right option. After checking out a few flooring companies in the Shorewood, Plainfield, and Naperville areas, I decided to give Great Western Flooring a shot.Kate at Great Western Flooring was the only one to ask me about pets (I have an annoying cat) and even guessed the wall color I had chosen so she could match the carpet perfectly. I was blown away. She walked me through the showroom, asked thoughtful questions, and made sure I landed on the right product. As someone who wants the best of both worlds—quality and price—I narrowed it down to a few options and even ordered samples to test at home.Once I selected the carpet, the installation was flawless. The installers were on time, professional, and finished without a single issue. Kate was wonderful. She helped us find the perfect tile for our powder room, and Jacob installed it beautifully. The whole process was done quickly, start to finish. Highly recommend Great Western Flooring!
Working with Great Western Flooring was a most unpleasant experience, and we would not do business with them again. We installed a new staircase, costing $10,000, and wanted a beautiful high-quality runner installed for safety. Our interior designer decided to work with Great Western Flooring. The salesperson, Kate, chose a cheap, unflattering installation method, that left gaps on the staircase. When we complained about how it was installed, she wanted us to spend even more to have it installed properly and correct her error! We were so disgusted with the installation experience and the quality of the carpeting, that we removed the runner. It had so many redundant nails and the carpet quality was so poor, nothing could be salvaged. The entire runner was trashed. Here is what putting $1600 in the trash looks like!P.S.
