We hired Rowan Hardwood to redo a carpeted staircase in hardwood. Excellent communication from Angie and Derrick. The installer Ahmed (And his helper) were meticulous. Very happy with the work done.
The front desk was amazing to deal with and got the product I needed. However their warehouse staff was not very professional. The guy in the warehouse placed the product by the door and when I asked if he could help me load it in my truck he told me to do it myself. Clearly he wanted to go home.
The Rowan team did a beautiful job on my hardwood flooring installation. The whole team was great to deal with from the initial consultations through to the finished job. They proactively called me with updates on the timing of my material order and exactly when the installers would arrive. Very nice to be able to deal with a local business that cares so much about quality, service, and making it work for my job schedule. Thanks Derrick, David, Angie, and Felix!
Had a flood in my basement and contacted Rowan Hardwood in June 2024 for replacement of approx. 100sf of cork flooring. The thickness had changed so needed transition pieces as well. I made sure that the estimator noticed that one toilet and two vanity sinks needed to be removed and reinstalled. Received estimate which included a charge for complexity of the project.July 10th two guys arrived with my materials and proceeded to remove all of my quarter-rounds and the damaged cork flooring plus, due to mould, an additional 150sf. They then informed me that they could not complete the installation because they do not touch sinks or toilets and that I needed to hire someone else to remove these items and afterwards to re-install them for them to be able to complete the job. Try and find someone to remove vanities and a toilet and then later to re-install them without paying an arm and a leg. Why wait until after the removal to tell me that they can’t finish??!! They left my basement in more of a mess than before they started.Derek came back to retrieve the materials and I told him that they shouldn’t take on a job that they are not able to finish and that I now needed to hire a contractor that could complete the ENTIRE job. Requested a quote for alternate flooring to replace the removed material. This in now mid-July.Waited until the end of August to hear from Derek but not a peep. Thoroughly disgusted I then went in and requested a refund of my down payment minus the three hours of labour and disposal costs.A whole summer wasted and they had the nerve to charge me almost $800 for just removal and not even total removal. Good business decision to penalize the customer because their employees can't do the job. I think that is outrageous and will never deal with them again!
Purchased product from these guys 6 years ago. I had to re-do all installed hardwood as the PAINT on the hardwood started peeling off after a year. Significant discolorations showed per pictures. It's just terrible. I know they source from 3rd parties. Perhaps they should know what they are selling to the public behind their brand. Tried supporting a local business!
