We had previously purchased unfinished hardwood flooring and had planned to install the flooring ourselves. Life got busy and after a year we decided to find a contractor to complete our flooring project. I hired Factory Direct Floor to install the hardwood floor at our house. Everything was incredible from start to finish. I had a mixture of tile, carpet, and laminate flooring that had to get removed. Jose and the team finished the project within 7 days, covering 1,250sq ft. They were extremely professional and clean. It was great seeing the progress that was made everyday. They are such hard workers. Every day Jose would give me an update on the work that was completed and checked in with me to make sure I was happy with all the details as they made progress. I’m so happy with the final result. The owners were excellent too, payment was super easy. I never had to visit the store and everything was handled via text/phone calls.
Factory Direct Floor has a huge warehouse with a wide variety of selections, so it felt good to have options. Staffs were friendly and respectful. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for good products with reasonable price and knowledgeable staff.
We had an excellent experience with Factory Direct Floor in San Leandro. The manager at the store was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, guiding us through their huge selection without any pressure. We found the perfect high-quality flooring at a great price point. Everything was clearly explained, from purchase to final installation. If you need flooring, save yourself the time and start here. True professionals!
It was an amazing experience dealing with the Factory Direct Floor. We dropped in last week and spent 1.5 hours looking at they huge selection of wood floors. My wife has finally picked out the solid Santos Mahogany, a high end natural finish hardwood from South America. We had our installation scheduled afterwards with Dave, the scheduling manager. The installation date had reached a few weeks after, so the crew arrived on time, started work and processed smoothly with our new flooring delivered 5 days later. It was just so beautiful and solid natural. We had friends over for a weekend party afterwards and everyone's in love with the floor. We have referred them to you, Factory Direct Floor and they know we have saved a chunk of money with your prices that are much lower than retail.
I am giving 3 stars because although they installed my floors they did a terrible job with painting the baseboards. They paint them outside before they install them so then after they install them they will caulk the top but then you have unpainted caulk and unfilled in nail gun holes. I was not pleased. When I asked them why they didn’t paint the caulk or nail gun holes they said it would take too long to let the caulk dry. I also asked them to put a nose piece on the top stair where my floor ends but the stairs going down begin and they told me just to go get a piece at Home Depot and do it myself. Again I was not pleased that they would not just put a piece on for me and instead left me with a raw edge of wood. I think if I had white baseboards the caulk thing might not have mattered so much but I have brown baseboards and they used white caulk…he said my options were white caulk or no caulk at all…which obviously you can’t leave them uncaulked…overall the floors look great but I am disappointed that they did those two issues I had with them in a substandard way. When I pay for someone to paint my baseboards and install them I mean for them to do it correctly and not just the fastest way possible for them and leave me with an end result that looks bad. I would even say the paint they did do on the baseboards was just okay as it was streaky and not even as show in the photos.
