My mom purchased flooring and underpadding on the advice of the employee. She specifically asked if she needed the underpadding. The employee said yes and sold her $621.00 +tax in underpadding. When the installers saw the material, they asked why there was underpadding when the flooring purchased already had it attached.She called and the employee said "you agreed to it. I didnt force you."Your employee is the "professional." Tell him to get his head out of his rear.Manmohan Grewal, is this the type of training you provide to the employees? Saad was my sales advisor in the store and he did an amazing job of explaining the different types of flooring. Loved the individual attention he gave and the quality of materials are nothing short of outstanding. Highly recommend this brand of Hardwood Giant.
I came to Hardwood Giant, Oakville Store, on the direction of my flooring contractor. My condo flooded and all floors needed replacing. A.J. at the Oakville store was extremely knowledgeable, professional, patient, and supportive. I came into the store 3 times before finalizing my decision as to which flooring product and colour to use. A.J. offered useful advice about different product qualities, warranties, pricing discounts, and even colour optimization for the small space being replaced. He was genuinely helpful and I very much appreciated his excellent customer service. I feel very confident in the product selection, the quality of the merchandise, and the service I received here and from A.J. I will recommend Hardwood Giant to my friends, and return if/when I have future flooring needs.
I was looking for flooring to do a repair and to match what I have in my apartment, and I walked into Giant Hardwood for the first time. What an amazing experience; Saad the sales representative, promptly assisted me and offer different choices based on the sample I had. I am extremely disappointed with my experience at the Oakville Hardwood Giant location. Despite a two-year warranty on installation, my complaints about uneven, bouncy floors, visible gaps, and poor workmanship have gone unresolved since September. Management promised an inspection but has yet to follow through, despite multiple attempts to contact them.Four installers rushed through the job in just three days (plus an hour later) to complete 1,800 square feet, including three bedrooms, an upper hallway, stairs, and the main floor. Their haste led to serious issues, including gaps in flooring and baseboards, and their response was to blame the age of my home instead of addressing the problems.They ran out of baseboards, left a gap at the front door, and tried to charge me cash for their mistake until my ex-husband intervened. They also removed my powder room toilet, left it outside, and refused to reinstall it—my 80-year-old father-in-law had to fix it.I am writing this review to warn others not to fall into the trap of what appears to be low prices, great sales on engineered hardwood and vinyl products, and the convincing sales pitch from 'AJ' at the Oakville location. Like me, you might be swayed by the positive reviews, but I wish I had paid more attention to the 1-star reviews instead. My experience has been a nightmare, and I hope this review not only prevents others from making the same mistake but also prompts the company to take responsibility and fix the numerous mistakes they made with my flooring. Trusting this company was a costly error, and I strongly urge anyone considering this location to look elsewhere."
