I definitely recommend Carpet Warehouse for your flooring needs - yes, they are better than their competition in the area. They have a wide selection to choose from. Dominic has a keen eye and provided solid recommendations around what would work best with my decor. The work was scheduled quickly and the installers were great. Carpet Warehouse is impressive!

UPDATE: 3 months since this review and they came out to repair ONE of the 2 chipped tiles (???) and they ruined a another one in the process and did not fix it. The ghosting has continued, along with a missed appointment and no reach out ever to reschedule. No further attempt has been made to make it right. The message from the owner below was nothing but an attempt to make it look like they care. They don't. This is NOT THE PLACE FOR HARD FLOORS!!

We have been a loyal customer for 3 decades and recently we wanted tile in our kitchen and main floor. It has been a complete fiasco, and we have been repeatedly ghosted for the last 3 months since the floor was installed. First of all, they installed tile over 4 layers of existing floorng and underlay. As per the manufacturer, they should have removed the top layer of tile. As a result, there is too much flex in the floor and it sounds like we are walking on crackling eggshells all day. They came back and glued down the floor but it still crackles. Gluing was not the answer - the previous tile needs to be removed.

In addition, the installer used a regular hammer to hammer the tiles in place instead of a rubber mallet. When we pointed that out, he insisted it was fine. We had chips in our new floor which he tried to fix with white caulking and in the process he created a huge glossy spot on our matte finish floor. And we have since discovered another chip in the pantry (see photo).

At one point, they disappeared for 3 weeks and left our floor partway done and looking like a construction zone. Again we were ghosted when we tried to follow up.

There is a transition that did not get glued down properly and it lifts; we have been trying for over 2 weeks now to get them to come in and glue it down and got ghosted again and are still waiting. We have now been told it will be fixed this week but they never set a date. There are only 2 more days in the week and we still have no comittment on when they will come out.

When things run smoothly they are great to deal with, but if there are problems you're treated like garbage and decades of loyalty are irrelevant.

We have used Carpet Warehouse in the past so went back for a rug for our kitchen. Darryl was very helpful, suggested some remnant options and we had our rug in just over a week. It looks great and very happy. Thanks Darryl and would recommend for your carpet needs

“In Sept 2022, I hired Carpet Warehouse to address these flooring issues (on various levels of my newly purchased home):

MAIN LEVEL—refinish the hardwood flooring (sand then stain a different colour), where needed replace trim with oak trim stained to match the floor, and refinish staircase banisters to match the hardwood floor;

MIDDLE LEVEL—replace existing vinyl flooring with new vinyl flooring and all replace all trim around the walls,

LOWER LEVEL—install wall-to-wall carpeting throughout the basement (except for laundry room & bathroom)

When the job was done:
-my old, damaged hardwood floors looked so good they looked like new hardwood flooring;
-my old, bouncy, cracked vinyl floors were replaced with stylish, quality flooring that was properly secured (thankfully eliminating the bouncing effect of the old flooring);
-my old tile flooring was covered with stylish wall-to-wall carpeting making the basement feel cozy and inviting.

Throughout my home’s flooring transformation, Dominic kept in regular contact with me and inspected the work as it progressed to ensure it was done properly and to my satisfaction.

At one point in the project, I was concerned about:
- the slightly bouncy feeling that remained in some areas of the new vinyl flooring, and
-a small area of trim that hadn’t been installed as well as the other areas.

To address these two concerns, Dominic immediately came to my house to investigate these issues and then he ensured they were rectified immediately, which required parts of the flooring to be lifted and reinstalled and required a better quality trim (bullnose?) to be installed in the higher traffic area at top of the stairs.

You cannot get better service than what Dominic provides. He goes above and beyond to meet the customers needs. For example, he went to my friend’s place to see her flooring that I liked just so he could track down & secure a supply of it in order to do my house.

Overall, my experience with this company was fantastic.

We enjoyed working with Dom (owner) and his contractor. Dom worked with us closely to accommodate our needs and make the changes we asked for. I was very happy with his honesty, genuine approach, clear explanations, customer service and professionalism. The one concern I had was that I asked for the contractor to cut outside but they said they had to cut the laminate flooring inside - which was not ideal, but understandable in order to complete the entire job in one day. As promised, everything was done in one day and the floors are beautiful! Fresh and modern feel. I guess some hiccups are inevitable but I paid attention to how Dom took accountability, understood our concerns and worked to resolve it in a timely manner. He is very kind and a pleasure to work with. Good value for the laminate flooring and the job was installed professionally. We will definitely be back for future flooring needs. I recommend Dom and his team. Thank you.
