My review was deleted.......In my estimate they gave me a discount per square foot, when we received our invoice, they slipped in a charge for shipping that offset said "discount" we were charged 200.00 for freight when they were only getting flooring from one warehouse to another, and we had to wait a week. I've never been charged shipping for flooring in my life. simply bad business.
Maxx Industries and Stardust Construction Inc. are connected companies. Maxx deals with flooring sales and installation and Stardust does contractor /renovations.We had Maxx do our flooring sale and install after a flood and they did a fantastic job.Later, we needed door installations and baseboard/crown molding work done. While Maxx did a great job, Stardust not so much.Stardust Construction and Maxx Industries in Palm Desert are connected companies. We employed them to install bathroom/bedroom/living room doors and base boards. The owner, Sasha is personable. He and his team arrives when they say they will unfortunately it all breaks down with the quality of work.Unfortunately, we had a problem with them fitting one door and to get them back wasn't I would say - difficult but we had to follow them up a couple of times to get them to return to fix one door that wasn't hung properly.The quality of baseboard installation was not very good. Most of the joins they butt-jointed vs 45 degree. (Unprofessional in my opinion. Almost all "tradesman" will tell you they only use 45 degree joints as they're less noticeable. It doesn't take any longer to cut a 45 degree joint than a butt-joint.) On one occasion in the living room there were 3 joints in a 4-foot length. Poor.Some joints have 1/8" gaps and though less noticeable, one in the closet has a 1/4" gap. Photos to support my claim if needed.

Hired Maxx and was initially told the job would take 2-3 weeks. That turned into two months. The flooring we picked out looks nice but the trim was not done correctly. No chalking done at all. Big time gaps between the trim and wall. The tile in the bathroom looks nice but the Sluter in the shower could have been placed better. Other items like our cabinets look good but the leftover unfinished spots are still showing from the older cabinets.Overall I expected more for the amount of money I paid. Sasha is slow to respond but a nice guy. However I would recommend another company.
Love my new floors. Process could not have been smoother. Choosing made as pleasant as possible,. Installers were wonderful - punctual, friendly ,knowledgeable, efficient, and thoroughly professional. Outcome was perfect. Will recommend them often.
