We are redoing our kitchen and our condo complex was built about 20 years ago. The flooring throughout the rest of the apartment is vinyl wood planking so we decided to continue that instead of using tile. The difficulty was finding a product that was installed over a decade ago. This was one of the first times that I got a difficult to find product on the first attempt. so satisfying!! I put the product code into Google and Trio popped up. I reached Rosie and told her the product code. She was immediately familiar with the flooring out of all the options that are out there. She said she would take a look and see if she could find it but also informed me that it was discontinued. She still looked!. I spoke with her the following day and to my amazement she had located several boxes. She sent me an easy link for payment, gave me an address to pick them up and I am all set. It matches perfectly! Her knowledge of product was key in this process. Thank you Rosie for your expedient help.
Unfortunately, I had a bad experience with Rosie. I called and texted her several times. We had an appointment scheduled for Saturday, but she never showed up. She didn’t call or respond to any of my messages. She was very irresponsible. I strongly advise against working with her—there’s a good chance she simply won’t show up. First of all, I believe that if you don’t do this type of work, you should have told me from the beginning. Second, I specifically asked if you could do the job, and you told me yes. That’s the reason we scheduled an appointment.Update: You asked me when I’d be available, and we agreed on Saturday at 9 a.m. If you knew you couldn’t do the job, you shouldn’t have scheduled the appointment in the first place. Even then, you had until Friday to let me know that there was a mistake or that you wouldn’t be able to make it.But instead, you said nothing. I waited on Saturday at 9 a.m., and you didn’t show up, you didn’t call, and you didn’t cancel. That’s not how professional business is done. A deck is not usually considered a “flooring job” in the traditional indoor sense (like hardwood, laminate, tile, etc.).• However, decking is its own type of flooring—just outdoor flooring. So if someone specializes in “flooring,” it’s best to clarify whether they mean interior flooring only or if they also handle exterior decking.If you’re hiring someone and they say they do flooring, it’s totally fair to ask: “Do you also work on outdoor decks, or is your flooring work just for interiors?”
