They are the title sponsor for the Nufloors Penticton Curling Classic. Hats off to them for that! ??

As a sport, Curling needs all the sponsors it can get to run events, especially when they have high quality livestreamed coverage as this one.

One suggestion? Put a word in for the event organizers to be let the ladies play ?

I recently went into Nufloors to see if I could find a match or near match for a tile in my master bathroom as a tile had broken during work that was being done. One of the gentleman on staff was kind enough to give me a sample tile that was a close match to the colour I needed. I really appreciated him doing that and it was great customer service.

Hired NuFloors to do the 3000+ sq ft of flooring, and the tile in our entire home, including custom walk in shower.

The initial work started Ok, but there were problems that crept up and dealing with them to rectify was like pulling teeth, and there was never any resolution.

Custom formed stair nosings cracked a month after moving in. I asked for a resolution multiple times. I was given excuses of being too busy to come look, but they promised to. Never got fixed.

Showers and bath tub didn't get siliconed. Asked multiple times. Just finger pointing at different trades as to who should have done it. Backsplash joint to counter has grout jammed in with no caulk. The tiler should do this, period.

Then the black grout in our ensuite. The tiler used way too much water to wash it and bleached the color right out. They also tiled the walls first, which used white grout, and the dust from this settled and mixed into the black grout on the floor due to poor cleanup and planning. It made the black grout look washed out in uneven patches. I had two second opinions and both gave the same diagnosis. My general contractor even saw them use so much water on the floor it distorted the door frame moulding at the bottom. He pleaded my case, and they still did nothing.

Upon using the shower, the grout in the floor was leaching out white stuff for months see the picture. It was horrible. I have no idea what would cause such a mess.

Brad, Kevin and Don eventually came to our house once (after months), and they denied the deficiencies to my face. Told me it was the lighting that made the grout look different colors in different spots. The definition of gaslighting. I proved it to them with showing them the proper color of the grout by looking inside a vent hole where some grout had gotten and was the true color as it hadn't been washed, despite it being clearly obvious as shown in photos. They admitted it then, but did nothing to rectify. All they did was send another installer to kind-of fix a horrendous backsplash corner. Picture attached is what it looks like AFTER the fix. Nothing else was resolved.

The installers didn't caulk where the shower bench meets the tile. Over time this has resulted in water getting behind the bench, running down, and coming back out at the grout joint at the bottom. This has weakened the grout and caused efflorescence, as water slowly seeps out over days after having a shower. It looks like garbage and has since a few months in.

The installers were a father/son team. The work the son did was perfect. The father's work had deficiencies, and he had a poor attitude and was rude during construction. Acted like he didn't want to be at our house.

Then during construction I asked for a black schluter drain. Before the tile was set I saw the wrong drain installed. I contacted NuFloors and they told me no worries they'd just change the cover to black later.

Turns out the black drain I paid for is a different size and not compatible with the basic silver drain they installed.

So to fix it, they had to come cut out a section of tile above the kerdi membrane. You should never disturb the membrane and who knows what will happen down the road. All because they didn't quality control the work and didn't know the drains weren't compatible with one another.

This isn't even all of the issues. There are holes in the grout of second bathroom. Misaligned tiles on backsplash and splotchy marks in grout. Carpet peeling off bottom of stairs.

Nothing was rectified. After months of attempts and patience I just gave up.

Now every time I enter the shower I am angry to look at it. And now I have to pay people to complete and fix things, and still it will never be right.

This has been my experience with NuFloors.

I wanted to take this opportunity and saying thank you for helping me last spring/summer as I was in your store selecting products for a local Winery Project and unfortunately the project was placed on hold during the Pandemic I would like to say thanks to Brandon for all his help, the selection you have in your showroom is vast and lead times I thought were very reasonable. This store has quite the selection for any size project that needs it. I look forward to doing business with you guys in the near future.
